I have quite a few lots that have doors 'stuck' as being in use and I can't delete because it shows as 'in use' even though I've sent Sims through it over and over again in order to unstick it.

I'd like to modify/expand the house(s) and I need to delete or move the doors involved.  What's the cheat to unstick them so that I can move or delete them?

(I'm kinda new to Sims2 even though I have both Sims 1 & 2, I never got Sims1 to work for me.)

I've had that happen before... open the cheat box, and type in moveobjects on press enter then exit the box and you should be able to delete them then Smiley

It could be you have a light or other object placed too close to the door. I find I need to have two tiles between lights or objects placed on the floor and the doors or they won't shut.

You were faster then me caff.

About 99% of the time indeed, the reason for a door stuck in use is because of a light that is in the way, just move the light elsewhere and when you go back to play you should hear the door close.

Thank you all, for asking and answering.  That door stuck open has been a thorn in my side.

Using the "door jam fix" hack from MATY will probably fix you right up. It will prevent the occurrence and also properly shut the doors which are presently stuck in the open position (can't recall whether they will just shut on their own or if a Sim has to go through them to trigger the shutting -- either way, though, it has solved the problem in my game and prevented it from recurring).

Click on the link applicable to your latest EP in the 'Official Lists' in the first message here:

and scroll down to find doorjamfix.zip
