I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere. It's kinda hard to search cos all that came up was Sims photos... :-/

I have this Sim who has level 10 Creativity. He opens an art gallery where he sells his paintings and photos, taken with the camera from Career Rewards. Each photo he takes is sold for $100 when I click on "Sell Photo" on the camera or pick it up with the hand tool. But when I start a home business and set these photos on sale, their value drops to $1 for "Cheap" and "Average", and $2 for "Ridiculously Expensive".

Of course I can change the price by the Custom Pricing to $100, but no Sims would buy these no matter how my sales staff tries to convince them, because $2 is already expensive. I can sell it in other ways but that's not fun, and I'd prefer having these photos hung in other Sims' houses.

So I'm just wondering what happens to the photo value when set on sale; is it some sort of bug? Can someone please make a mod (or point me to one) that fixes this problem? For now my Sim is living the life of a desperate artist selling his photos by a buck or two =[

Thanks. Happy simming Cheesy

More people with the knowledge to help you will read this if you post help related questions in the "General Help" section. I'm sure one of our mods would be happy to help and move this there. Smiley

I've never seen this particular issue come up before.  You could always think of it as selling it locally your customer base is a bunch of yahoo's that don't appreciate good art, while selling it through the buy mode reaches the art collectors of the world.  Cheesy

You may want to ask at MATY.  Sounds like something one of the modders there might fix.
