Installing Sims2 DVD for windows vista

so yea, it keep saying, error in copying, retry or cancel
I click retry and the percentage goes up.
When it go to 100% it kept asking me retry or cancell
will it eventually install?
I thought maybe it was slow cause the DVD takes up alot of space

I don't know, I have that same problem with disc one of sims two on cd, what I did was make a copy and the copy works but the original doesn't. Go figure
