I tried to do what you said above and still can't do it, but I think that my video card might be over heating, because when woke up and turned on the computer I put the disk in and played for 3 hrs before it cut off. If I try to play when my computer has been on all day with me being on the net, the game won't even come on.

ETA: Is this the code you have, by change...or something close to it? Exception code: 0xC0000005 (-1073741819) ACCESS_VIOLATION. If it is, then it can be due to faulty RAM, adware or malware on your computer, or faulty drivers.
