Out of Control Sims

Hey guys can anyone help.  When I tell my Sims to do something they don't do it. They take there free will and delete what I want them to do and do what they want.  I can't get them off the second floor of the house.  I am trying to get them to the car.  The baby crys and they ignore me.  What is going on.  Please help I want to go downtown!!!!

Well if you go to game options you can turn free will off so that they only do what you tell them to. Also if you have a baby on the lot and you want the whole family to go downtown, they wont go, just as if they are the last parent on the lot to go to work. For this you need to hire a nanny to look after the child.

I downloaded insim.  I think I made them to smart.  Which quailty do I need to turn down so they follow my orders. I tried to turn off free will but I couldn't figure out how to make them go down stairs.  I said go here and they were stuck in there spot.  Also I can take the whole family anywhere?  I would like all of them to go to the park.  Is that possiable

No sorry, babies and toddler cannot be brought to community lots only kids and higher and there is no mods to change that.

Maybe there is something blocking the way of the stairs, make sure there is no item on the floor in front of it both on top and bottom of the stairs.

This is a really bad glitch with Seasons. I had it after first installing the EP, my sims just refused to do anything I told them. no matter what it was, never mind the fact that they were about to die if they didnt eat, oh no! they had to go and kick the gnome!
The only way I found around it was by reinstalling, or by only playing plant sims which was not so much of a problem for me, but you may not want to do this.
If reinstalling is a no go, try downloading the patch, it wasnt out when I had these problems but it may help
