I am sure you have all seen the Disney picture. Well, fact is not even history is certain that the woman existed. The ballad that Disney got their idea from is from the 6th century, before the founding of the Tang Dynasty. No one is sure what time the ballad is set. But the movie is pretty accurate (Minus the talking dragon of course). The only difference is the ending. Now, I don't do spoilers. You'll have to do a search and compare the two endings.
And please, I do not want any geeks saying "Hey, isn't that Japanese armor she's wearing." I know it is. But it looked so fantastic and simliar (with the exception of the detail) to what Mulan wore in the cartoon when she went to war. I simply had to show where I found it. Don't thank me, thank those awesome Simmers!
Oh and because everyone is more familiar with the Disney Mulan and not Hua Mulan from the ballad, I decided to my own Disney version. Plus, the ballad depicting Hua Mulan was so faded even zoomed in, I couldn't see any detail to her face and I wouldn't have been able to replicate the woman in it properly.
