Sims 2 Pack file question

I got some downloads today for my Prairie family and needed an old style cradle, well the only one I could find was at a pay site so there was only one way for me to get it. After I downloaded it and unzipped it I noticed it was a sims 2 pack file. So I double clicked it and it said it installed correctly and everything but the items are not in the game. Is there a reason this is happening or are they just bad files??

Could be you need the CEP (color enabler package) from MTS2 for it to show.  And of course this is consedering that cc is enable in your game.

Just know though that if you have the BV ep, it needs to be updated so you might be better off waiting for it to be updated and remove that cradle from your game for now.
