well i've downloaded the mermaids files things but ;_; they still don't work for me do i need sims nightlife or something?

Whenever I enter the game, and enter CAS, all the Slimmer BB clothes are regular 'green top and pants-this download doesn't work' outfit with the *asterisk*. I do not know why, what do I need to download to get this to work? Do I download only MESH_Ju_Beos_slimmer_nudebottom.rar and
 MESH_Ju_Beos_slimmer_nudetop.rar from the archive or what do I download to make these work?

EDIT: I am trying to download the Louis@Simcribbling slimmer BB, and some clothes, do I need to download the other stuff?

Dub-Edit: When I click the skintone in CAS, it is only a regular shaped skintone, not shaped like the bodybuilder.

First of all, this is in the wrong section so I'm moving it. Second, before you download any custom clothes for a certain bodyshape you have to be sure you have the correct mesh, there is usually a link to the mesh in the post.

i recently downloaded the mermaids stuff and it isn't showing up in my game. i have Uni, NL, and OFB. So if you could help me figure this out.

ok - since my psychic powers have been on the fritz from solar wind, maybe you might want to tell me what operating system, what folders, what updates, and stuff like that

in the mean time - did you enable custom content?

have you checked to make sure all the mermaid files are in the Downloads folder - not a folder inside the downloads folder?

are you abso-smurfly certain you extracted the files and downloaded the necessary meshes?

do you have file extensions hidden?  do you have SimPE or Sims2Pack Clean Installer installed?

If I say do a folder scan, would you know what that means?

check your Downloads folder for:

ok - those are the RAR files - you did not follow the instructions about extracting the contents of RAR files covered in the first post of this thread.

You should not just move the RAR files into the Downloads folder.

Please re-read the section about RAR files the software needed to extract the files

Hi Marvine,
  I have had no problem getting your BBLooseTeeshirts to show up in my game.  

I also used your link and successfully downloaded Black Sabbath's Godsmack shirt http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=11248.

With other creators who used your mesh, only the pictures of default shirts will show up in my game, but not the picture of their BodyBuilder shirts when a Sim goes to buy one.

 Once I click on it, I can see what it is, but its a lot of shirts to have to click on for that.

 I removed the files completely from the game, re-downloaded the shirts and the mesh, put them back in the DL folder.  I use Firefox but even switched to Internet Explorer for downloading to see if that made a difference.

So why is it that your shirts and Black Sabbath's shirts work fine, but not Kavar's or 2DaHardWay?  Any ideas?

vita4all - i just re-downloaded all the the items you list and checked them against the mesh and the ones you list as working.  What I found was that they are all alike in the area that links the item to the mesh, so in theory they should all work with the mesh.

What you may need to do is delete the thumbnails for CAS and bodyshop - this is safe to do, the game will regenerate the necessary files - and try again.  

My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Thumbnails\CASThumbnails.package delete
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\cigen.package delete

Also delete the Groups.cache

My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Groups.cache delete
