Hey there!

I've been having some problems downloading Sims lately. The Package Installer keeps saying, "This content requires expansion pack data that is not installed". Is there a particular expansion pack that I need or is it all of them now?

I have Nightlife, OFB, Pets and Seasons. I'm also a Mac user but that's never been a problem in the past.

Some Sims I've tried download where by Silva, ReginaS and Micrasimp.

Anyone having the same problem? :bounce:

All you need to do is download and install the utility CLEAN INSTALLER, installing sims packs through this programme will allow any sim to show in game , regardless of what expansion/stuff packs you or the creator has installed

its available from this link
http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/

You can also use it to preview and check the contents of your downloads folder

Thanks for the info, but Clean Installer is not compatible with Macs. Sad

You know, there used to be a utility for Mac called WooHoo that you could use in place of clean installer, but it's gone awol.

If you have a Mac, try posting your support related questions in the Mac-Users Only Peer Support forum. You'll be able to get more specialized help there. Smiley

Yes, it does work, but the downloads are only going out by email requests and, apparently, the creator isn't sending any out and hasn't updated the page since 2006. There used to be a copy on MTS2 and Derailed Sims (since the creator of the utility has been MIA for a while), but it's not available on either site any longer. Derailed sims has revamped their site, which could be why it's not there right now, so it might show up again.

There's an older version here, but it's not been updated for Pets, Seasons, or BV, so any packages made with those game will show errors in this version of Woohoo.
