You cannot change the path of any folders of the game but you can create subfolders in the downloads folder though to help you categorize your cc.

Rename evertything as it was and all should be ok.

You don't have to, but you can if you want. For example, you have your Downloads folder in My Document/EA Games/Downloads, right? If you choose, you can have additional subfolder in your Downloads folder if you want to keep your cc organized by creator, the site you got it from, or cc type, or however.

Go to the sims 2 site and make sure your computer meets the requirements to run the game. Some of the requirements have raised for running with Vista.

Either that or some of the CC you have is not compatible with your game.

Try to completely remove your downloads folder to see if the game will load normally.  If so, it means some of those downloads are causing the problem.

You can add them back in small batch until you isolate the one(s) causing the problem.

if i remove the downloads the game loads
if i isolate the ones the games loads
but if i add all downloads the game doesnt load
i think there are some incompabilities but i dont try to find what are the ones

the pc is always the same both xp and vista
i just change the os
so i dont think there arent the requirements to run the game

Some of the requirement do change for running the game on Vista if you have Seasons or BV. I should have specified that, my bad. I know this personally because I have a laptop that would run fine with XP, but not with Vista that it came with.

Copied right from the Sims 2 site:

1.3 Ghz processor (2.0 for Vista)
512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista)

Supported video cards:
ATI Radeon(TM) series 8500 or better (9600 or greater required for Vista)
NVIDIA GeForce series GeForce2 GTS and better (GeForce 6200 or greater required for Vista)

now i try to load the game but before i removed some packages from the folders object recolor (approximately 2000 and plus packages) and game object (approximately 3000 and plus packages)
and now the game works -.- without block and noise (when the noise appears the music of the game goes away)
