This mod prevents all Sims from autonomously changing the TV channel. (Useful if you want them to gain cooking skill)
EP1 or greater is required for Version 1.0b.
This mod is comaptible with FFS & GLS.
6/18/06 Made compatible with new EP3 & FFS patch.
 
Only download one file.
noautonomousTVChannelChangingorturnoff.zip(Also prevents sims from truning the tv off)
Do not use this mod with "Numenor_Turn-Off-TV_Fix.package" they will conflict.

This is a very good and much needed hack for my game since I hate when my sims change the channel on me when I put it on one station for them.. Thanks alot. :hello2:

Oh.. I LOVE THIS ONE!!!  I have custom television channels.. and when the sims turn on the tv.. I want to see the rest of that segment.  But they are always turning it off before it finishes!

Does this also stop them from turning off the TV autonomously or just from changing channels?

No it doesn't but I just made another version that does both.

Oh hey, you see, that's what I needed! Hey thanks~ I am now trying to let my sims to watch the whole movie I made for them...hmmm..I am also watching that movie with them at the same time, how cool is it...Thanks

THANK YOU for the no autonomous turn off version!  I have been wanting forever to force my neat freak Sims to leave the TV on when I want it on (especially at my movie theater!)

Nothing more annoying than having a sim working out or trying to up cooking... and another sim in the house keeps turning the TV off or changing the channels.

I found that I can't change TV channel after I used this hack.

Even though I order them to change TV channels, they won't react to it.

I don't know what's wrong. What happened?

or maybe a custom tv?  It works fine in my game, my sims can change channel as they wish.

But I have added some avi made into the game by myself, is that the reason I got the problem?
 
edit:I have used that program to check for conflicts, but it said no error or conflicts are found.
