I have all the sims 2 EP and for some reason none of downloaded FOOD is showing up as the option when I click the fridge. My sims has max cooking skills.

Foods from http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Simaddict99/downloads/sims2/sets/food/631519/

Japanese, Chinese, And Italian.

Also food from http://www51.tok2.com/home/sims2libido/libidomain/download/JapasimsStyle_Menu.html

Can someone please help me. I put all the download files into the download file.

Oh by the way one of the food from tok2.com works. When I click on fridge I see 3 options for spaghetti and instead of cooking spaghetti they give me the japanese noodle.

Some customs foods require you to download and install custom plates in order for them to work. Did you do this?

as Caffienated  Joy points out, many custom food items require special plates/bowls, whatever; additionally, custom food is VERY EP-related.  Not all food will work in eery EP, and I have never managed to get a custom food to work in the base game or with only the University EP installed -- others have, but it never worked for me.

Some timres, another object requirement may be necessary - like the most expensive stove, or the expensive refrigerator before the item will display in the menu.

And one final thing to remember, custom food may not be available in restaurants or for OFB businesses even if these items are advertised as NL and OFB compatible.

Some foods require a certain cooking skill level to show up.

Haha The butter chicken dish at TSR crashes my game. I have all EP's and most of the extras. I'm now scared to even have my sims go near that dish. I thought at first it was the plate issue, so I went back and redownloaded it again and then once more. I cannot figure it out, but the chicken dish just looks sooo good, I don't want to delete it.

custom foods/careers/CAS screens are sooo buggy, and break games more than they make them fun. They're rarely compatible with new eps and for that reason, I avoid them all. If something's crashing your game, then I recommend you take it out, no matter how good it looks.
