Well, you only need 2 things.
The mesh(the gmdc) and a fixed texture file(txtr)
Normally you first clone a outfit with bodyshop and open it with Simpe and look how the file names are called but since you want the maid you have to go in debug mode in CAS and look how the files from the maid are called.
Ill save you some searching(you prolly know already

)
It called
afbodydressmaidSo you start the finder in Simpe and search for ''afbodydressmaid''
You will see Simpe will find all the files related to that outfit.
You will need the Gmdc called
afBodyDressMaid_tslocator_gmdcdouble click it in the finder list and then right click in the resource list and extract the file.
And you need the txtr file called
afbodydressmaid-whitelace_txtragain double click and right click in the resource window and extract.
But that txtr file is also linked to the lifo files and so you will need that one too, to update you txtr file(the way i do it)
Its called
afbodydressmaid-whitelace0_lifo again double click/right click and extract.
We now have the 3 files we need.
In simpe start New file and import the 3 files you extracted earlier and save your package something like Default replacement Maid mesh orso.
Try to use the key words replacement or default so you be able to find it back if you have a lrge downloadfolder.
I work with a Defaults folder in my sims2 directory, were i have all my default replacements installed, ez to organize.
Ok, we now have the new package but we have to fix the txtr file first.
You can do it later but i am going to explain it now.
Click on the lifo file in your resource window and then right click on the texturefile that pops up in the bottom window.
Choose Export.
This is going to be your texture that you will edit/change for your new outfit.
Its in png format.
The moment you exported your texture file from the lifo file you can delete it from your package, right click on it and delete it!Now click on the txtr file and delete both the links to the lifo files in the bottom window, click on them and delete.
Then change the # of mipmap levels from 9 to 11 and choose
build default mipmap.
In the little popup box enter the largest file, 1024x1024 and click ok.
You now should have 11 files just like in the screenshot i attached.
But since you rebuild them all 11 there all empty, you now can rebuild all 11 with your exported png file from the earlier extracted lifo file.
choose the 1024x1024 file and then right click on the image file in the right window, exactly the same as with the lifo file earlier.
Choose import or choose build dxt if you have nvidia DDS utilities installed.(If you want to use DDS:
Tutorial: Making Pixel-Perfect SkintonesSurf to your exported(lifo)texture file and import it in the txtr file.
When you have done it all correct it looks like the screenshot i included.
11 files starting from 1024x1024 till 1x1 all with the correct image.
This is all you need to do.
You can export the gmdc to edit it with Milkshape and you can edit the png you exported and import it back in the txtr file like i explained.
I included the file if it doesn't work out like you wished.......
Few things you need to know:
The maid outfit has 3 seperate meshgroups, body/body alpha3 and body alpha5
Keep those names and map all parts so they will fit on one uvmap.(as you only have one texturefile.)
You can use more meshgroups and texturefiles but you have to edit your shape file then and will need to include alot more files.(like every material setting(txmt)
I have done this on the
mail delivery, but its complicated if you just started with this.
Try this first.
