As requested:
This mod prevents all sims from autonomously using all bars at home
but they can still autonomously order drinks on community lots/shops.
This mod is compatible with FFS & GLS.
4/23/06 New Version 1.0a I added one drink test that I missed.
6/16/06 Updated for new EP3/FFS patch.
**Note: this mod does not prevent sims from drinking drinks that are already prepared**

OH MY GOSH!!!  Thank you, Squinge -- this is *EXACTLY* what we needed! I know several other folks have been looking for this, too.

I very much appreciate your doing this -- and so fast, too. You are awesome!

As long as a shop is open & you have a bartender then can autonomously order drinks .

I just found this! I downloaded an awesome outdoor set with a bar that matches. My family spent the next three days, (five family members) doing nothing but standing around drinking. I finally had to delete the bar set. Now I can put it back!! Thanks so much for this.

Don't know why, but this doesn't work for me. My sims still use bar at home.

If could help, I can post the complete list of my installed hacks.

Do you have a home business at the lot where they are still using the bars?

Is it with custom hacked bars or the maxis made bars? If it's with the maxis bars is it only one of the bars or all of them?
