Chapter 18
Oh boy. I know what this means.

...puking...

Dad was right. I'm pregnant again.

I really hate this part.

A lot.

Chips grew into an adult. He has an interesting blend of both his parents' markings. He's a very pretty cat.

Arynn loves to paint. She spends long hours at her canvas.

and she sold her first masterpiece at such a young age. She's hoping to get her name out there and become very popular.

She's still seeing Ocean. Oddly enough, he doesn't like creative girls. Maybe they make him feel threatened.

Nevertheless, their relationship is moving along at a nice steady pace.

First kiss!

And first makeout. Sigh. Why do so many kids seem to be in such a rush?

Looks like a romantic evening at the Avalon house. Mom and Dad are being amorous with one another while I decide to ask my hubby on a date. And then I pinch his cute little bottom.

Here is the ghost of the founder, Elwyn, playing with one of the cat ghosts. Creepy, but interesting.

Arynn punches her brother hard in the arm.

The girl is mean. Just look at that face.

I've never seen a cat so interested in pizza.
Wisp: My bowl is empty. Where's the deep dish? I'll take one with extra cheese, please.

Arynn snuck out with Ocean tonight.

She passed me on the way back in, but I didn't say anything. After all, I'm on my way to woohoo with Joseph in the car with my big belly! What kind of role model is that?

I have that glazed look in my eye again. That must mean it's time to give birth.

Aaah! It hurts so much I could put my head right through the window.

Finally, baby Drake is born.

Well, I'd sure like to get Drake his first bottle, but the entire family is blocking the doorway.

Arynn: Great. That's all this house needs - more competition.

Arynn: It's bad enough that the only place to put the baby's crib is right in front of my Princess Bed. Now I have to sleep in stupid Aubrey's room - on the bunkbeds. I hate brothers.

I just got scared by a ghost, but boy my hubby is so darn hot!

Arynn is starting to make sneaking out a habit.

Dad makes a wonderful grandpa. He's thrilled with the new baby.

The maid broke the dishwasher. I just found that unacceptable. He's paid for cleaning the house, not breaking the equipment. Now I have to pay a repairman to come out and fix it. Dad would probably be thrilled to try to do it himself, but I'm not comfortable with that. It's too dangerous.

I was as nice as I could be, but I think he was still mad at me for lecturing him for nearly half an hour.

Arynn farted at the table today. Right in front of her grandmother.

Arynn thought it was just the funniest thing.

But Mom was not impressed.

She just kept glaring at her, the entire time she was clearing the table.

If Mom could choose the heir, she'd definitely pick Aubrey. I think Dad would, too.

Time has flown by and it's already Drake's first birthday.

He looks just like his brother. He's actually a carbon copy, because not only does he look just like Aubrey, he has the exact same personality, too. He could be Aubrey's clone.

Mom, Joseph, and Benjamin complain about the smell.
Wisp: Where's my pizza?

Arynn: Drake stinks. I mean literally. I wish someone would change his diaper. I can't believe I have to compete with a stinky toddler for position of heir.

The ghosts are angry. I had to sell both the beds because the mattresses were in really bad shape. I bought the exact same kind of bed, right down to the bedding, but the ghosts knew. Now they complain about it every time they haunt.

Funny shot of both the teens cleaning the cat beds at the same time.
Arynn: You may have more neat points than me, but I can get it done faster.
Aubrey: What good is that if it still stinks? Like sisters?
Arynn: You'll pay for that.

Wisp: I'm gonna go hunt me some pizza.

Chips: Pizza makes you fat. I want a Greek Salad so I can stay nice and trim. Unlike you.

And while the cats are wanting people food, Drake is wanting their food. I guess no one gave him a bottle and he got hungry.

He cleaned the bowl and moved on to the second one.

Well, at least he's having a good time while he nibbles the kibble.

Drake: Munch, munch, munch. Wheeee!

Thing 2 looks on with interest.

Arynn: Great job on being a grandson! We're all glad you exist.
Almeric: This girl is a real snot!

Wow! Look what I caught walking past the house this afternoon. She's absolutely stunning. She must be a part of the Legacy. I can't remember her name, but, wow!

Chips is a destructive cat. For some reason he really has this desire to rip things apart.

Cute shot of Wisp and Thing 2 yowling at each other.

I don't know why Mom decided to stop right in the middle of the doorway to read Drake a story.

The maid had to step through them to get his job done.

It's Drake's birthday, already. Time goes by so fast.

Welcome to childhood, Drake!

One of the first things Drake did was break the shower.

I had to put my foot down and let him know this kind of behavior would not be tolerated. Dad could almost make a full time out of repairing all the broken things around the house.
I may as well tell you all now, rather than give you a rude surprise in the next chapter. Drake has a drastically short child/teenhood. When I got Aislynn pregnant again, it was because I wasn't totally into either Arynn or Aubrey and I wanted another option. But Drake ended up being the
exact same as his brother. Every personality point was the same! I was pretty disgusted at this point, lol. So disgusted that I grew him up way early and shipped all three off to college at the same time.
