Sorry to bother you guys.... I'm normally pretty good at this stuff.

I've just installed Freetime. (usually I wait a lot longer) (should've waited *kicks own arse*) I went in to Build mode bulldozed a staircase I wanted to replace and now nothing sticks to walls .... doors, windows, CC, Maxis, you get the picture. The msg I get is 'must be at center of tile' but no matter what I do I apparently can't find the center of the tile. I can use moveobjects for buy mode stuff but I kinda need workable doors in houses. I exited to neighborhood w/out save no luck did same thing when I reentered lot. Same goes for the next step which was exiting game w/out save. I was wondering if this is a new issue with freetime or is it some other issue as I've NEVER had this happen before. and HOW DO I FIX IT?Huh?Huh???

BTW I feel I should mention I don't have any globals installed except for those updated for freetime, didn't have many 2 begin with and the few other hacks don't affect build mode. AND the only new downloads are just the Freetime versions of my old mods.

Thanks in advance guys.......

You might want to try boolprop snapObjectstogrid true/false and see if that helps. From the sound of it that might fix the problem, if not you might want to check your downloads and make sure that there aren't any hacks or anything that have snuck in there.

Ha that's funny I tried that earlier but it didn't it at all and now like magic... i swear this comp is soo moody. Hopefully that it's perm. fixed.I'm really not 100% sure if it was the cheat that worked or not because I did about 4 or 5 things before I restarted the game since I have such a looong load time to run my gamepage. Nevertheless, thanks so much Caine.

if you've got the boolprop snapObjectstogrid false code enabled, that's the reason. building objects don't "stick" with it enabled. use "true" in stead of "false" in the code when you're building with doors and windows. the best is not to use moveobjects either, as long as you don't have to, since especially doors (windows also) needs special requirements to placing, or sims won't get in or out.
