IMPORTANT - Free Time EP major bug fix mod out!

Since there is no dedicted section yet for the FT ep, I am posting the info here in the general sims 2 help section.

Twojeffs from the Inteen site released a major bug fix mod that affect user with the Free Time ep.  If you do not have that ep install, you do not need to install this fix.

Here is a resume of what it fixes and a link to get it, once on the inteen site scroll down the page to get it:

Free Time Aspiration Critical Fix:

Fixes a major EAxis bug that causes the game to almost always report a bogus aspriation for the sim if they happen to have a secondary aspriation set. This bug will manifest in numerous different ways such as some sims getting red marriage memories even though they aren't romance sims, strange random failures of aspiration objects even though a sim is gold or platinum, and other weirdness.

ATTENTION: Free Time Aspiration Critical Fix by TwoJeffs is not needed if you updated FreeTime with the EA patch!

You can get this fix HERE - look in Simbology > Sims 2 Downloads > Mod Descriptions > The Dead Pool - Links to the Past for "Free Time Aspiration Critical Fix"

While you are there, check Simbology > Sims 2 Downloads > Mod Descriptions > Bug Fixes for "Bring Hobby Friend From Work Fix"

You may need to register in order to download.  Simbology is a free site.

While you are there, take a look at the other amazing mods Twojeffs did.  I totally love his mods.

NOTE:  IF YOU INSTALL THE FT PATCH, THIS FIX IS NO LONGER NEEDED.

If you install the Freetime patch 1, this fix is no longer needed since it is fixing this problem.  So in other words, you can now remove it if you install the patch.

What FT patch...I went to EA...no FT patch there?

That's because the patch was pulled until Maxis can fix an issue with installation errors for some users.

It seems that using the Sewing Machine to make a Custom Outfit causes the game to rewrite one of it's package files, causing the patch to "think" the game had been tampered with (which it had, by itself!) which caused installation errors/refusals for many players. Players who had just got the game and/or not yet used the Custom Outfit options had no problems.

As of a few days ago, you could still find the patch on this (New Zealand?) EA Site http://www.ea.co.nz/en-nz/ , however you will have to create a non-USA user account (USA is not an option given) to get it. (This is were I got my patch, as I just purchased Free Time .)

Looks like the patch is still there, if you want to try & get it...

EA has finally put up a new patch for freetime...

I take NO responsibility for the "quality" of said patch- I am just pointing it out for those that are brave enough to try it out.  LOL
