Oh yes, those are maxis bodyshapes that you see in the pictures. They just have real looking feet because of Bloom's sexy feet default replacements. The defaults here will replace your maxis skins only, the shape stays the same if you use them. Maxis shapes aren't bad if you use decent skins on them.

The vertical seam in the middle of the male chests looks a bit harsh, as if they'd had surgery. Maybe the shadow depth is a bit too deep there?

Well, I think its suppose to look like there muscle on each side of the shadow. Not sure what Teru K used as a model for his skins. Considering that the texture is actually laying on a almost smooth surface, you have to use highlights and shadows to create the illusion of 3 dimensionalism. I didn't think it looked like too much but that's just my opinion.
