Do I have to buy a camera?  If so where do I get it from?

If you have BV, all sims have cameras. You can click on another sim and get the option 'Take my picture' and that person will theoretically use your camera to take pictures of whatever you aim it at (it doesn't have to be you!)

I tried and I don't see the option to take a picture. Do I need to do something to get that option?

make sure you are clicking on another person.  not your active sim.
