Sim Ghost

How do you see ghosts? When your sim dies does it just show up or do you have to do something?

I've had a few sims pass away-but not by peaceful means. Most of the time, ghosts show up a day or so after their demise; most are very unhappy creatures  and you don't have to do anything but be in the same place as they are.
If you still have the Goth house, there is a graveyard in there, with the various Goth family members. Move a family in there, and just wait..you'll see them soon enough-and if your sims are scared easily, you might lose a few.
I have a lot with about 15 graves, and all the ghosts take turns coming out at night..I moved the Goths into that lot (I have NL) and killed off a few sims, so the house is rather spectacular for ghosts and haunting. They're not a happy bunch.
