Vampire not biting

Ok I might be totally stupid but.... I just installed nightlife andd I turned my sim into a vampire but she wont bite anyone, like when i click on another sim theres no "bite neck"(or whatever comes up) menu and I'm wondering is there something wrong?

She has to be friends with the would-be "bitee" before they get her fangs into them.
I've read where you don't want your simmies to become great friends with the Grand Vampires, because that will set them off on a biting frenzy, and turn everyone into their own kind.

Do you have any hacks to control vampires? Might be worth looking into...
I think I did experience a biting frenzy of some sort, I made Alex Goth a friend with one of the Grand Vampires, later Alex and at least three Townies were turned. I was able to fix most of them. It did not happen again.
