Is there a way to tell on InSIMenator...how many times your files has been downloaded?

Sure.  Go to the UserCP and click on attachments.  The number of views for the compressed files is the number of downloads.

also, it should tell you in the thread where you posted it, next to the attachment it will tell you how many views it's had
