Umm...I am new to this whole downloading families thing,but for some reason when i download it and add it to the Sims>downloads section it won't work.How do you add this family to a neighborhood.

Most sims downloads come in two forms: package files and sims2pack files. Package files get extracted into My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads. Sims and many wall and floors will come in the form of sims2pack files. These do not go into your Downloads folder. These are self extracting files that you should extract to your desktop (or some where else of your choosing). Then you double click on them to install them into your game.
