Another Help Question.......Sorry

I copied one of my mp3 files into a few of the music folders located in My Documents/The Sims 2...........Buy Mode, Build Mode/CAS

When I went in game to Audio Settings and unchecked all the music but my mp3 file in those modes and CAS. I switched between buy and build mode and nothing but the Sims music played. I could click play on the file and it played. But, when I went to buy mode, the Sims music played.

Do I have to take their music out so only my music plays?

I haven't tried it yet, just in case.

I think in order for your mp3's to play, you must uncheck the default Maxis one in the categorizes you do not wich to hear them anymore and make sure your mp3's are check.

I've tried that.

The only thing I had checked was the mp3 file. And, I still got the maxis music when I switched from Buy and Build mode. That's what makes me think I may have to take their music out and move it somewhere else.

It takes a while for the music to play.  Sometimes it'll come straight up, other times it'll take its sweet time.  :lol:  (Besides, I also have reason to believe that EA changed the way music is played in Buy/Build mode since OFB I think.  Music from both modes will play in each other's categories, like Buy mode music in Build mode and vice-versa.  Not sure why they did that... :roll:)

Maybe that's my whole problem, I have OFB.

I just thought if I took out those settings files, it would kick right in.

Like I said ealier, I haven't tried it yet, but I am tempted!
