Katy Perry is best known for her hit:



"I Kissed a Girl"

Katy Perry was born October 25, 1984 and is 23 years old. She was born in Santa Barbara, California and fell in love with music at church, listening to gospel music. her musical influences are Heart and Joni Mitchell, as well as Paul Simon, King Crimson, Messhuggah, John Cage and Alanis Morissette.

Katy became an in house vocalist for the Matrix, a record company. She began working on a record with Glen Ballard. In October 2005, Blender Magazine called her "The Next Big Thing!" but she didn't receive her fame until 2008.
