I have been working on this mesh for a few days now and its DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!! :smt120

im trying to make a corsage for my sims to wear (like a bracelet with flowers).
I was wondering is there any way of making an object in wings 3d and importing it to milkshape and using that as the accessory. When i make it, it shows up in the game but its floating in the air as if it were on the sample body in milkshape.

If im not making any sense please let me know, i would love to make this and i see that NO ONE has a corsage made. THANK YOU

you make sence don't worry Wink

--Export your corsage out of wings 3d and save it as a obj file.
--Open your mesh file(prolly a glasses file?) that your using for the accessoire in Milkshape.
--Import the corsage obj file in Milkshape with the Wavefront obj importer.
--Rename the corsage as one of the glasses meshgroups(rims/frame or lens) and also fix the comments in the comment box.
--delete the other meshgroups you do not need.
--Import a maxis body and position the corsage on the spot you want it
--Hide the corsage and look wat the boneassignements are on the body on that particular spot(write them down)
--delete the body and give your corsage the same bonesettings as the body.(the ones you wrote down)
--Export your corsage.

Note,
The reason that it floats is prolly because you didn't assigne bones to it, you need to do that in milkshape with unimesh bonetool.
if you are making corsages for all genders and ages then make sure you use the correct glasses file to start with because children/teens and adults use diffrent skeletons.

YOU ROCK!! It deff worked, i thought i assigned the bones but i just followed every step u suggested and it worked!

The only thing is (srry!) that the mesh is transparent no color at all. i tried to add the material in milkshape and then i added the texture in simpe and transferred it to my downloads but nothing, if you could help i would GREATLY appreciate it!

If you make a new mesh or use a excisting one you have to map the mesh parts on the uvmap.
Wat you do is you fold out the parts so you be able to texture them later on.
There is a good tutorial on mts 2 to follow, made by DR Pixel
It explains how to fold out new shoes but if you are using a excisting mesh it might be already mapped properly.(follow the tut. to learn how to check the uvmap)

Name the meshgroup frame because if you named it lens it will become transparant and will not have a texturefile attached.
Also delete the propertyset of the genders and ages you do not want.
And, very important
Check the issue's on accessoires on mts2 as there are a few bugs when making cc accesoires.
This als might help you:http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=79628

It is prolly because the meshgroups are not mapped on the uvmap.
A uvmap is part of the mesh, as i said its a map were all meshparts are folded out.
If those parts are not mapped there is nothing to texture, you prolly get it one solid color as the whole mesh gets assigned to one pixel.

Read this:http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=78915
you '' get a idea wat i mean.

You can upload your mesh file if you like so i can have a look.
but if you want to continue meshing you really should look at DR Pixel's tutorial about uvmapping!!
