game won't start

I have all EPs up to Pets and then BV. when I try to play I get a little error message that says nothing-just a box with an x. It is a recent problem. It's not my CC. Anyone have any ideas? TIA

Did you try to delete your groups.cache file?

When you say it is not cc related, what did you try to make sure it was not.

no i didn't. not sure what that is, but i'll try it if i can find it

i temporarily removed my downloads folder from the Sims 2 program files to test my cc

Happy that fix your problem. That file sometimes gets corrupted so if you ever experience a similar problem it is one of the first thing to try espacially when you just added new cc or remove cc.
