Title: The Star Wars & Indiana Jones Thread.
Post by: Naria on April 09, 2009, 10:50:17 pm
So Squinge doesn't hurt us.  :D

First, let me start by saying: NO, I AM YOUR FATHER!

My favourites in order:
Original Trilogy: 4, 6, 5.
Prequel Trilogy: 3, 1, 2. (It pains me to dislike 2 as much as I do, because Ewan McGregor is just so fine in that movie. Sigh...)

Indiana Jones: 3, 1, 4, 2.

1praise I didn't want to overrun the Holy and Most Glorious Spam Thread with rampant geekiness, as it's already geeky enough if I'm in there in the first place.  :p

Last night I watched a series called "Warriors" on the History Channel. The episode was on Japans' Samurai...there was an a little, old, old gray man in a kimono wielding a loong sword...he looked exactly like YODA!!!! Probably the original model....   1giggle

I haven't decided if I should train you as a Jedi or Sith yet.  :p

I think it'd be much more fun to be a Sith. You can go around mind controlling and force choking everyone. What do you think?  ;)

Okay, you can be a Jedi. I'm only a Sith Lord on days that end in 'y' on Garden of Shadows anyway.  :p

*Gives you all the tools to make your first lightsaber.* You'll need it in Jenna's basement. Those rats are mean.

There was an episode in the last season of "Roseanne" where Debbie Reynolds (Mama of Carrie Fisher a.ka. Princess Leia) played Dan Conners' mother, DJ  was about to go and see a Star Wars' marathon, anyway he made a lewd comment about seeing Princess Leia half dressed...Debbie Reynolds said "Those are fightin' words" and grabbed DJ's girlfriends Light Saber and dueled it out with him....Made me think of you.... :D

LOL. Never saw it but it sounds funny. I always crack up at Star Wars references in anything, I'm just that much of a dork.  :-[

Still, I suppose it's not as bad as watching Yes Man with my mother last night and during the part where they go to a Dress as your Favourite Harry Potter Character party, I looked over at my Mom and said, "Now THAT'S the only kind of party I'd ever go to!" She called me a geek.  :-X

Note to everyone in the Star Wars thread:

Anakin Skywalker makes me want to punch the television. Would he like some cheese with his whine?

The prequels are fine to me with the exception of Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman, and the terrible "romance" dialogue George Lucas couldn't write if his life depended upon it.

I could have done a better job at writing the "romance" dialogue

Me too. That's really not saying much, though.  :p

I also could've done a better acting job than Hayden and Natalie. LMAO.

The only actors in the Star Wars prequels I don't like are Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman. Samuel L. Jackson is the coolest.  :D He makes such an awesome Jedi.
