31  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Where is bigfoot? on: September 24, 2007, 07:32:33 am
Secret map can be gotten through insimenator also.  If you slap dance for bigfoot you automatically get the option for him to move in with the family if you want.

35  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Making Pond in the Ocean on: September 20, 2007, 09:54:41 am
Has anyone figured out how to make a pond in the ocean?  I wanted to see my sims fish from the beach.  I was able to build a pond in the ocean but when I tried to have my sims fish out of it there was no action available.
36  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Custom objects question (not mod related) on: September 20, 2007, 09:35:21 am
I have added back about 2,000 files back to my game. Hacks that have been updated or has been cleared to add, genetics, clothing and custom content.  I have had no problems with any of them.  I am running fine with little lag time.  Could it be a corrupt file?  From looking at the forums It seems that Bon Voyage is a little more sensitive.  Could a file that may not have affected past EP's be giving a problem?

Thank you.  This is just what I was looking for to add to my vacation lots.
38  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / anyone else NOT having problems? on: September 18, 2007, 08:31:30 am
No problems here.  My lag time is minimal.  I installed clean no CC or hacks and have added hacks back slowly as it has been determined safe or updated.   I just downloaded the new insim this morning !!cheers!!happy dance!!
39  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Should my computer be sufficient? on: September 13, 2007, 08:02:36 am
I have all EP's and stuff packs.  I have a 3 year old computer 2.3 Ghz, 256 MB Nvidia 7600, 1G ram.  I am running fine, however I have removed all hacks and the only CC I have is genetics, makeup and clothing(about a 1,000 files).
40  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Bon Voyage bugfix on: September 13, 2007, 07:14:53 am
When I install a new EP I remove the MyDocuments\EA\Sims 2 folder to completely rid myself of collection files, config mods, CC, hacks etc.  I run my existing game to recreate the original folders and then install the new EP.  So far I have had no problems with BV but I am going to download this mod when I get home as a preventative.
41  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / The Hyde Park on: September 01, 2007, 12:54:43 pm
The Hyde Park

2X3 Lot
$107,759.00
3 Bedroom
3 1/2 bath(I always try to put a 1/2 bath located where the neighbors can use it so they don't cry but still be able to lock them out of the home)
Basement with Pool
Curbside Parking
Fruit Trees
Enclosed Garden
Pond

I have all EP's and Stuff packs and not limited the furnishing to any particular EP or Pack.

The doors I used are from Phoenix_Phaerie's Georgian build collection.  To have them show up you will need to download at a minimum the cmgeorgianentrydoor.

Tampa, Florida has a section called Hyde Park.  Many of the homes are bungalow's built in the 1920's and 1930's.  I modeled this home after the bungalow's there except I added a basement which we do not have because of the water level.  I did not try to make this a cheap home.  I wanted to make it a garden club pleaser.  I played a duplciate home before uploading, the garden club loved it.  I do admit to having twojeff's hack perfectgardens and squinge's hack nomorepuddles to keep the plants happy and the animals from making puddles on the lot(these are not included) because I love to put plants in odd places that frustrate the gardner and the sims without perfectgarden and I dislike having to have my sims clean up doggie puddles **yuch**.

The lot was a real challenge.  I wanted the Garden room attached to the back porch so my sims could eat breakfast on the porch and view the garden.  I kept having trouble with the roof of the Garden Room falling into the room after I put it on.  I finally resolved the problem but still don't quite know why it was happening.

The main floor is furnished and decorated.  I did not decorate the basement which I use as a recreation room.

Yard sale dinning

A wonderful dinning set of chairs and table found by my sims Robert Gordan and Darlene Donnovan at the neighborhood yard sale.  It has a tile top in muted colors with a small floral patterned pad for the chair.   The trim is a wonderful green for both chair and table.

Robert Gordan my sim has wanted to marry his sweetheart Darlene Donnovan for years.  Robert has only managed to save $20,000.  He looked at real estate for 3 months, before he found Garden Grove Cottage. He took Darlene to see the cottage and proposed on the spot.  He and Darlene will be going to yard sales to furnish the cottage.

The snapshot of the front shows an area to the left front that is bark only.  This is to show where the invisible driveway is.  The bark can be easily removed (I do not find it estheticaly pleasing at all but needed to show location of the driveway).

I played a duplicate lot (this one is new and clean), corrected a couple of problems before uploading.

You will need to go to the link for Phoenix_ Phaerie and download at a minimum the cmgeorgianwindow1.  The Georgian Palladian window used in the front of the home is slave to that window.  I have the whole set because I use it regularly and could not do without it.

I have used Macarossi's plants to decorate the property.  I cannot say enough about her.  She has the most wonderful plants and build items.

Numenor's Wooden stairs recolourable are a staple in my game.

I have all EP's and Stuff Packs installed.  My understanding is not perfect but since I made curbside parking using nightlife you would have to have all of the EP's also.
