46  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Garden Club Bedroom for Williamsburg Federal on: August 20, 2007, 05:34:22 am
All Maxi recolors.  I made this before the Willaimsburg Federal Home but it fits the decor perfectly in my opinion.  It is definitely a girly room.

The furniture is not actually white but whitewashed with a slightly aged look.

Base game objects are the Colonial Ironwood bed,  Bed by St Anjoque Reproductions,  Doublewide Tieback Curtains,  Club distress coffee table, Luxiary King Armchair, bedding.

OFB for the Werkbunnst Medium Stonewood Dresser and Unbridled braids oval rug.

2 carpets and 3 walls included.
47  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Patchwork Quilt Bedroom for Williamsburg Federal on: August 19, 2007, 03:30:29 pm
This is one of the bedrooms I made for the Williamsburg Federal Home and my favorite.  I based it on my grandmother's bedroom.  She was born in 1901 and had a veneer bedroom set that was slightly shabby but to me was so beautiful.  When I was a child she would let me set at the vanity and play with her bottles.  Recolors of the Colonial Ironwood bed, the hold me closer dresser, the vanity, the luxiary chair, the curvaceous end table, the doublewide tie back curtains.  Included are carpet, 1 wall paper and 1 paint wall.

The colonial Ironwood bed, Luxiary King armchair, Curvaceous Colonial End table and Doublewide Tieback curtains are all base game.  You need University for the Cornerstone Vanity and OFB for the Hold Me Closer dresser.

My terms of use are simple.  Do what ever you want.  I create for fun.  I would always prefer the recolors be kept free but no restrictions.

If you want the stairs show in the pictures you will need to upload from Reyn (link to her MTS2 homepage below) for them to work as you need to have the instructions and the text file.  You will also need the scriptorium and recolourable wooden stairs (Reyn's stairs are linked to these) by numenor (link to his MTS2 homepage below) for them to work.

I have always had a love hate relationship with the Federal house that was included in the game.  I actually love the houses of the period but most of them were not square boxes.  They usually were started off simply and added to until they had both character and the room needed to house a growing family.

I found this lovely plan and proceeded to build it.  The pictures of the interior show it furnished in my test house (I always play a house at least a few hours to iron out any bugs before correctiong the original and uploading).  I have uploaded it unfurnished (except the baths) with neutral walls.  I may upload some of my recolors in the next few days that I made for my home.

Please pardon the pictures.  I am just learning to take them.  Sometimes I forget to turn off the silly squares.

If no one has noticed on my previous homes, I love color.  This is a small set consisting of a sofa, chair, coffee table, curtains, 3 walls and 2 floors.  I'm not a fantastic recolorer yet.  I'm still experimenting, but I liked the color combination.

3X4 Lot

3 Bedroom

The name says it all.  I started the lot as a big box with large rooms and many windows for taking pictures of furniture I decide to recolor.  I hated the box.  It kind of morphed into a modern southwestern type home.  I did not create from plans so it is not particularly spectacular but kind of cute.

I was a little blue this week, so I built a home that reminded me of the homes in my family in the 1940’s.  My father built our home piece by piece because he didn’t believe in taking a loan out.    The furniture didn’t quite match because it was bought one piece at a time with cash.  None the less we loved it and my favorite memories are of growing up in that house with a father and mother who loved us..  This is not a copy of my home but more of a representation.  I live in Florida.  Our home had many windows to let the breezes blow through, trees and flowering shrubs.  My fathers yard was the envy of 3 counties until the cinch bugs got it one year when we are on vacation..  The house was built from plans I found on a wonderful site.  I hope you like the home as much  as I do.

53  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / My Sims have twins on: August 09, 2007, 12:09:25 pm
It is normal for the sims to lay a baby on the floor if you direct them to do something else.  I always have them put the babies in the crib first and the have them do what I want.  The baby is not selectable by default.  If you have insim you can make the baby selectable with that or you can use the boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true (I don't use this one a lot**not that it is dangerous but if you have any background errors going on the cheat notifies you of every one of the errors and then asks to delete, cancel or retry**too aggravating).  Diapers are default.  I know there are replacement skins for infants that can be downloaded.
54  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / About Deleting Accessories//Make-up on: August 08, 2007, 08:13:13 am
Quote from: MissDoh;868605
Make-up, clothes (as long as it was not using a special mesh, if so, if you delete the mesh make sure to delete all the recolors along with it), hair (same apply has clothes) and skins are safe to delete.

The sim will use the next one available in queue, don't be surprise though if some of your sims will look funny after a clean-up.

Good info.  Thank you.  My sim was bald and I couldn't get her to wear any other hair so I deleted her, so I assumed all would be the same and haven't tried again.
55  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / About Deleting Accessories//Make-up on: August 08, 2007, 12:39:42 am
That is what should happen.  Most things you delete like make up or accessories don't cause a problem.  If you delete Hair a sim is wearing it may cause problems.   I have had to completely delete my sims before when I deleted the hair she was wearing.  It caused my sim to become corrupt.

SouthPort

A request from the forum.  I had the house almost finished when one of the forum members found another lot called the SouthPort here http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=41746.  I believe the lots are different enough to make it worthwhile uploading mine.

I have all EP's and Stuff packs but the lot should not have any pets or stuff pack items.  I used waterfalls from Macarossi that require glamour life.  I took that out of the lot file and added it to the rar so it can be removed(WaterfallSmall_macarossi_PondCollection2007.package).  Macarossi does have a base game waterfall available.  The URL will be in the credits.

57  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Finding the crashing file! on: August 06, 2007, 10:31:00 am
Clean Installer from MTS2 identifies Hacks but I don't know of anything that will identify a corrupted file.   It would be nice if there was one.  I've had the same problem.  If it's not a hack the only way is to take the download folder out and the put back a few files at a time.

Small Book store with Expresso Bar.

I have all EP's and Stuff Packs.

This was a result of a conversation on the forum.  Smart rear that I am.  I thought you could put anything up for sale including bookcases.  The result of this was I now had the book store and have not found anyway to sell the bookcases not the books. However I like the book store and thought I would Share.

Included on lot but not show in pictures are small office and employee lounge.

I am uploading a bookstore this evening that was a result of this thread.  I built the bookstore and then tried to put the bookshelfs up for sale.  shows how smart I am.  Can't do it (at least not that I have found).  I also found several other things that cannot be sold.  Any way I thought I would share the book store because I did like that.

Community Lot
Cater's to the every need of your expectant Sim.

Furniture display rooms.  Baby and toddler accessories.  Clothing nook for the expectant parents needs.  Rear patio and pond for the for the stressed out parent to relax.

I found a request on the forum for such a lot.  I hope this fits the need.

I do not hot link directly to any download as I think you should always look at all or as many of the creators files as you can.  Most creators put blood, sweat, and tears into their creations and deserve our thanks and admiration.  I link directly to the site or creators page on that site if they have one.
