thanks for all replys, i'm sorry for longtime reply because my mom took my laptop away from because i had bad grade in english an F  i've improved my grades and my report card coming out tomorrow, i hopee i get a good grades because my mom would give my netbook. i know she been fooling with it because she told me that one day and said she wished she have a laptop but she have a desktop computer so.. i'm using my little brothers computer for awhile just browsing myspace and youtube, but this computer is really old. so agian thanks for the replies. 

I recently got a laptop over the summer, it was fun sometimes annoying but my mom had outsmarted me because she bought me a mini laptop like acer laptops. It have no cd drive and she put parental control on it to block downloads and sims 2 or any sims searches. the reason why she did that is because i actually messed up my old desktop computer with all sims downloads, music, photoshop and i had sims 2 - freetime on my ccomputer.. but ever since i got freetime i started blaming on it because i heard reviews it burned the computers. soo there is noo way i can play sims 2 again and i am completely bored with my laptop and it probably not going to meet the requirments anyway 

Uhh sorry guys    my computer isn't working.... some stupid trojan virus takes over... it's been a month sigh, during last month, it turns on and off itself and i tried system recovery over over like million times and it didn't installed the system i think it's still the virus hijacking the system installement... i asked my friends and family for windows xp setup cd but their parent won't let me use them and some don't have it.. there's no way to repair the computer... i think it's bye bye computer. lost everything in my computer, sims 2, photoshop, pictures, writing stories.. i'm depressed.. i'm using my brother's computer.... my mom won't buy me another computer or cd. sigh, i'm just a desperate 15 year old girl who's clueless to fix her own computer... 

My mom told me that she said it's a virus when she trys to go thru the login loop... she download norton 360 then she went to work... i scan the computer, and it found 1 virus called win 32 trojan something like that and i tried to remove it and it unabled to clean it off....then my computer froze so i restarted it, the welcome screen came back and it show the desktop and went back to login screen, i logged in and it logged me off itself, i tried logging in numerous times, it won't let me in. i tried going in safe mode and safe mode with networking, it did the same thing as i try to log in....it never let me in at alll....
i don't want to format my computer again because i want to keep the stuff i wanted. i formatted three time. the last time is last weekend, the other two time is long time ago..... sooo please can someone help me with this.... it's window xp. i'm using my brother's computer.. and i don't have a cd for repair... so what can i do??

Just uninstall apartment life before it can really destroy your computer and mess up the data.
Don't wait to buy sims 3 because EA is going to put securom on and it could destroy your computer.
It's not fair... why would EA put something terrible and destroyed their costumers computer and just don't care like it's a paper to throw it away with.
Computers are EXPSENSIVE.
FOR THOSE YOU LOST YOUR COMPUTER AND CAN'T AFFORD ANOTHETR BECAUSE OF EA.
LET'S SUE EA. MAKE THEM GET OUT OF BUSINESS.
THEN NEXT FEW YEARS. OUR ALIVE ZOMBIE COMPUTERS IS GOING TO KILLLTHEM ALL..

I had to format my computer again.
Start from scratch.
Base Game - Bon Voyage. I used to have a same problem with BV but it's working well until i installed freetime.
A week after installing, my computer was acting strange and never let me do anything except listen to music and getting on internet. that's all. i reinstalled everything except the sims 2 games because i don't trust EA games anymore. destroying people computer? come on, we need computers other than sims 2. EA  STOPPP DESTROYING PEOPLE'S COMPUTER. My computer is only 5 years old. and i paid $200 on all expansions 2006 thru 2009 for freetime to destroy it? hell no. i need this computer because my mom won't buy another and i don't have a job. 

Umm...i got freetime before you guys answer this question.. because i saw a review of apartment life that can destroy your computer soo i chose freetime and bought it...

NOOOO...I will not get save for Sims 3 because my computer isn't really good capable enough for Sims 3.
Soo I may order Freetime or Apartment Life off of Wal-Mart online with my X-mas gift card...
Please tell me which to choose between those two...
