Welcome to insimenator.org / The Welcome Wagon / I guess you could say I'm "back"...
on: June 14, 2009, 03:10:03 pm

Hey all, It's Triple_sSs. Don't know if many people remember me, but I'm one of the "veterans" from when Insim first started. I think I used to be somewhat popular here for a couple years, but eventually I began to lose interest in The Sims 2 and this site, mostly throughout the year of 2008, so I kinda just faded away and mostly lurked around whenever I came back to visit. But just recently, I picked up a copy of The Sims 3 and believe it or not, I actually kinda like it, despite all the harsh criticism it's been getting around here. So I guess TS3 has helped renew my interest in the sims, and thus I might start posting here again. Though I am sometimes busy with real life nowadays, I still hope to come around here more often now.

Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Some old request
on: November 08, 2008, 04:07:42 pm
Hello again Squinge. Though I'm not that interested in TS2 anymore, there's this old request from early '07 that I wanted to bring back up for old times sake. It's about some hidden animations I found in the base game. Here it is again: (from this thread) I've found another set of hidden animations! They appear to be animations for toddlers to play with pots and pans, and it has something to do with counters.
They're in Objects00 package file in the Sims3D of the base game, and here are the names of the animation references:
p2o-counter-play-bangpots-bangground_anim p2o-counter-play-bangpots-banghead_anim p2o-counter-play-bangpots-bangtogether_anim p2o-counter-play-bangpots-end_anim p2o-counter-play-bangpots-loopbreath_anim p2o-counter-play-bangpots-start_anim
Do you think you could check this out, Squinge? Would really appreciate it.

A Safe Haven / Forum Games / Ruin someone's wish!
on: May 24, 2008, 12:53:31 pm
To make up for me not visiting here that much, I thought I'd start a new game! In this game, you post a wish, and the next person grants it, but also adds a consequence. Like so: I wish for more money. And then: Granted. Monopoly money!
I wish for anything. Now let's start! I wish for a billion dollars.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Female Hair / The rest of the Hidden Maxis Hair Recolors
on: February 09, 2008, 10:50:37 pm
This is probably one of the last uploads you'll see from me for quite a while. I should have uploaded these over a year ago (Not kidding ) but I never got around to it, until now... Here are the last of those maxis hair recolors you could only find in the mirror: Three colors for the "punk" hair (Pink, purple, and blood red), two "frosty" colors for the "shortcute" hair (Blond and purple), two colors for the "acorn tuck" hair (Strawberry and purple), and a "choppy" hair recolor I overlooked called "red streak". (Similar to the "pink on black" color, but with the pink more streaked) Hopefully, I'll start playing the sims more often sometime soon and in turn, visiting the site too. I hope you enjoy!

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Getting my bumpmaps to work
on: July 05, 2007, 07:57:59 pm
For my birthday, I got a really nice, brand new computer which plays the sims superbly, but I've noticed that the bumpmaps don't seem to be working. How should I get them to work? I've got a Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT on Windows XP, so I'd think they would be working.

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Mixed Sets/Unisex / Unlocked Hidden Maxis Beanie
on: May 12, 2007, 02:35:51 pm
Here's a hidden hair mesh that only shows up in debug mode: A black beanie, unlocked for your gaming and recoloring pleasure. The difference between this beanie and the other Maxis one, if you can't tell very well, is that it's smaller and thinner. This is the also the kind of beanie that the burglars wear. There's both a male and female version under custom hair for ages YA-elder, only needs the base game. You can even recolor them as well. Enjoy! Update: CatOfEvilGenius at MTS2 made some awesome recolors of the male and female beanie, check 'em out!

Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Daren(YA) - Pretty fly for a white guy

(I admit that I made myself giggle a bit when I came up with that pun in the title.)Anyways, this young adult sim was actually one of the first to be uploaded on the exchange, and I thought he looked kinda cool, but I thought he was missing something still; but now that Yakov did my request for the converted urban primaties, I was finally able to "re-mesh" him the way I wanted. You'll need my requested Urban Primatives mesh converted for the BB hereThe credit for the other content and textures goes to BAD KID OH at the Maxis Exchange, they were just slightly edited by me. (Original sim here) Did I mention I also made the skin shower-proof? And he is a young adult, so you will need Uni for him to show up as well as the hair. Enjoy!

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Computer in restart loop, help!
on: March 17, 2007, 02:21:03 pm
Not exactly a sims issue, but a computer issue. Just this morning, I got my computer out of standby and my monitor wouldn't work, so I tried restarting the system but the monitor still wouldn't work. So then I shut the computer off again and pulled the plug from the monitor, put it back in, started up the PC once more again and the monitor finally worked, but then a little ways into the loading screen, the system suddenly restarts. And when it does after all the bios stuff, I got a message saying that the system was improperly shut down or there might have been a hardware or software change or something like that, and it gives me the option for starting windows normally, with the last know configuration, or in safe mode. I tried all of these and it always restarts in the middle of the loading screen in the same place it did with the first automatic restart. And now I can't even use it! I don't think it's because of the monitor, but probably because of shuting the PC down too early in the process of fixing my monitor. Did I mess up my system files so it can't even start up right because of doing that? I've got Windows XP on a Sony VAIO PCV-RX380DS Someone help please! Computer is literally my life!!! :sad5:
