62  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / It has happened in my game, but... on: August 18, 2008, 12:02:57 pm
But only on sneaking out, and the parents were the ones told off, though the teens were down in the dumps for a couple of days after that, crying, sighing, etc.
The cop would return with the teen at about 2 or 3 in the morning and even if the whole household was sleeping, he would say something like "What kind of parents are you to let your teen run wild" and then leave.
Otherwise the teen sneaks out at 1 am and return at 4 am (but on foot?! weird!).

63  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Another patch related question on: August 15, 2008, 01:28:04 pm
I've dlded all patches as I've needed them, but every time I tried to install, I'd get a message saying my game was already patched! And I tried it a couple of times to make sure, and no, could not install any of the patches... Could it be because I've bought the eps/sps much later than their first release? (I'm guessing by then they've already been patched?).

Still I wonder 'cause I believe I've experienced some of the things the patches were meant to fix. I just don't want to go down several lists of problems to find out I still need the patches but have no way of installing...:sad4:

64  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Having never tried this... on: July 24, 2008, 05:54:48 pm
And from what I've heard, it's not only difficult but could seriously damage game files. It's better to clone and start with a fresh sim (no memories of the earlier neighborhood).
But I'd believe someone with more knowledge can give you a better answer...

65  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Cool! on: July 16, 2008, 12:37:56 pm
I just haven't had that much experience with servos, so it's good to know these things... Thank you ancienthighway and MoronStyle7. All systems go then!

66  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Ok, I'll give it a try.. on: July 14, 2008, 05:27:50 pm
You mean the "All in one and nanny" replacement? I just downloaded that and will give it a try. I already have a servo and children in one lot so could set it up to compare how each turns out. All right, thanks for the suggestion!
Mari  :toothy10:

PS. Do servos count as adults present? I mean, won't the social worker come if I leave the kids with the servo?
67  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Down with nannies! on: July 14, 2008, 01:16:37 pm
I keep using nannies since otherwise they come and take my babies away!
But I agree they are more trouble than they are worth. Not to mention the huge waste of food... Maybe I'll use servos instead.

68  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / I'd like to find her too... on: July 08, 2008, 12:39:27 pm
I bump into her a lot in Strangetown, but never seen her in Pleasantville. I'd like to find her, although Mortimer is already dead... Oohh, I found my next twist in the plot!

69  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / I'll try that on: July 03, 2008, 03:10:51 pm
I'll go get Pescado's lot debugger and also try the moveobjects next time she tries something funny. I see I'll be rehiring a lot from now on... Especially if I keep killing them off.Cheesy
Thanks!

70  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Well.. on: July 02, 2008, 11:34:22 pm
Wow, it seem it is a very unusual problem...mmm. I did exit without saving so, I'll have to recreate the whole thing. At the time I didn't know where the nanny was going, and once I figured it out, she was not interactive so couldn't figure out how to stop her.

I've been having extra problems with nannies for a few days, now that I think about it. Two will show up, out of schedule (no one is out working) and try to take care of the baby or toddler. I've seen this in at least two lots.

I already had a nanny for this lot, and had to fire and rehire to get her to change schedule after a promotion. This particular household is of General Buzz Grunt and his dead wife (brought back to life of course) with three (oops..two) girls. A nice change after all the testosterone in the house.
Well,  I'll keep checking the thread, maybe others can suggest possible solutions.
Thank you guys!;)

71  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Yikes! the nanny stole my baby!! on: July 02, 2008, 06:21:16 pm
What the...!! Mom goes to work and leaves the nanny in charge. When mom returns, the nanny is feeding the baby, she stops, puts the baby down and walks away. As mom goes to pick the baby up, the nanny picks it up first and walks to the car waiting outside, gets in and leaves WITH THE BABY!! The baby's picture is gone from the household menu.
I panicked and finally didn't save, but lost all the time she spent pregnant, etc.
What gives? Has this happened to anybody else?:sad4:

72  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Maybe try downloading some... on: June 30, 2008, 12:36:34 pm
Sorry I saw your post until now...
Instead of dealing with the Gypsy Lady, and since I never remember exactly what are the potions that she has, I downloaded a set of potions from Parsimonious.org. I just go to buy mode and find them under plumbing (of all places!). I also have a hack that adds the Vamprocillin to the rewards menu so I can get it there too.
Works for me!

73  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How about the Social Worker? on: June 27, 2008, 12:16:31 pm
Neglect the kid and they'll take him away for you!!
Just a thought...
Mari.
But be careful if you have other kids cause they'll leave too!:smt120
74  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Similar problem on: June 27, 2008, 12:10:39 pm
I've had a similar problem with sims getting stuck with their arms bent as if still playing chess. I followed one until I I exited the lot. It was normal when I re-entered. But they showered, ate, slept, etc. with one arm bent.
Weird...
The face thing usually happens to me after they've danced, they're stuck with that face for a while.

75  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Non biting vampires... on: April 16, 2008, 03:31:01 pm
Do you have any hacks to control vampires? Might be worth looking into...
I think I did experience a biting frenzy of some sort, I made Alex Goth a friend with one of the Grand Vampires, later Alex and at least three Townies were turned. I was able to fix most of them. It did not happen again.
