1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF alien townie mod? on: November 06, 2011, 06:53:48 pm
I think this was a hack at Theo's Shack that came with the alien eyes unlocker for normal skintones. He has removed the hack from the download, though.

For the alien ears thing, the alien archetype unhider can be found here.
2  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF: Maxis Neighbourhood Inhabitants (Not in a hood)? on: November 06, 2011, 06:43:29 pm
You can get most, though not all, inhabitants of all the hoods at Maxis_Taste on LJ.

TheRaven is right, you need to activate debug mode before going into the lot. Or you can exit to neighbourhood or go to a community lot then re-enter the residential lot. Additionally, you don't need to press the shift key while dragging a sim's needs. I never have and it works just fine without the additional key press. If you have a userstartup.cheat file, just put the debug mode cheat into that so you don't have to keep entering it.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Can't download furnished houses?! Help! on: September 24, 2011, 07:09:07 pm
And there's your problem right there. Depending on which section of SimsCave you downloaded from there may be no CC included with the house. A lot of the houses in the sharing section have been emptied of CC by the creator on the site they were snagged from. If you are downloading the amazing houses made by Asian creators that were shared on their blogs you just need to accept that they take everything out of the Sims2Pack and you need to furnish and decorate the house yourself because all you get is the shell. On the other hand if the house was made by someone on SimsCave you should be able to ask them what CC they used.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: Sims eyes glitch when they "smile" on: September 19, 2011, 01:57:29 am
Happens to just about everyone. It looks like the eyes go transparent or roll into the back of the sim's head and then they go normal again. I don't think it happens with the Maxis default eyes, just with default replacements. Unless your sims' eyes go transparent and remain transparent without going back to normal, which would be a totally different issue altogether.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: The Sims Life Stories and the custom content: to be or not to be? ) on: September 12, 2011, 06:18:54 pm
I think that Life Stories runs on either the NL or OFB game engine but it is safer to treat it as base game. Ditto for Pet Stories. PS does not really contain much by way of items from the actual TS2 Pets so you're best off just going after stuff that is base game compatible.

A note on hair - unbelievably there are still creators out there who have not patched their Pets and consequently the hair they make does not show up unless you're running Pets or higher (for TS2). Most notably Newsea, who has not patched Pets even though this problem was brought to his/her attention several years ago. So don't expect hair downloaded from Newsea to show up in the Stories games unless it's a retexture made by someone with a patched Pets. Peggy's hair seems to show up fine in just base game as does Rose's  and Raon's hair so those and any retextures done with a patched Pets game should work.

And, as already mentioned, you may need to enable custom content in the game. I haven't played the Stories games in years but I remember having to do that for CC to show up. I only ever played through story mode and not in freeplay but Bodyshop-type CC did show up just fine.
7  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Where can I find/Is there a No Lecture baby mod or hack? on: September 03, 2011, 08:07:58 pm
Your sims are obviously exemplary parents, theraven Smiley My sims lecture their babies all the time unless I stop them from doing it with a hack. Mine are real diaper fillers

Anyway, since the OP does not list which EP they need the hack for, they're going to have to find it themselves here. Go to the directory for your newest EP/current game engine (ie. the game engine that you use to launch the game, eg. Mansions and Gardens uses the AL game engine), then go into the Hacks directory and then grab antibabylecture.

Have you tried Squinge's No autonomous greet mod? I haven't played Sims 2 in a while but if memory serves me correctly that one gets rid of the useless constant greeting.
9  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF: Occult Appearence able to be toggled to normal? on: August 28, 2011, 01:54:20 am
I'm confused as to what you are looking for.

Are you looking for a transparent vampire default or a mod that has the ability to turn your sims into supernaturals and then back to normal again? Or a combination of both? (ie. you want to be able to change your sims into whatever you want AND you want some default replacement skintones for them)

Did you check the sim's inventory?
11  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Need help with The Sims 2? on: August 20, 2011, 12:27:01 am
What they mean is the error log file, from when you had debug mode turned on so you were actually seeing the errors rather than hiding them.

You can find the error logs in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Logs. They will be called something like ObjectError_N002_t2552.txt. Look for the newest ones. Attach the file(s) to your post, DO NOT post the contents of the file in a post.

Turning off debug mode just hides the errors but does not stop them actually happening. Better to fix the actual problem than put a blanket on it and pretend like it's not in the room.
13  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF The hack where you can make a sim's eyes move around? on: August 09, 2011, 06:30:07 am
The "black box" is probably Decorgal's custom modeling pose box. http://decorgal.com/dd/?p=74

It freezes the entire sim so if you put your sim into one of these poses and then use the fourth wall hack while zoomed in you should be able to make their eyes follow the camera. Not sure how you would make them look away from the camera except that you would need to freeze them in one of the Decorgal poses and them use one of JayDee's boxes (linked by Raven) to find eye movement of the type you want to film since it will make their faces and eyes move independent of the rest of their frozen body - including head so they won't move the head away from your set camera angle.

There are no pictures but I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Pet Baby Creator.

15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: HELP!!!Sims 2 Hack Conflict Detection Utility---HELP!!! on: July 10, 2011, 01:34:40 am
It's better to start a new thread than resurrect a thread in which nobody has posted in 4 years.

Sounds like it's working as advertised. It doesn't matter where you put it (mine is on the desktop in a HCDU sub-folder that's inside a Sims folder).
