I'm looking for a high-quality grey granite countertop. The cabinets underneath should be wood, and I don't want it to look overly modern—just like something you'd find in someone's house. Also, I'd like to find a sofa with an afghan draped over the back (preferably red). Any help is greatly appreciated!!

The problem I have with Sims 3 (well, one of the many) is that you can only control one family at a time, and if you leave them, they will be townified. I am a bit of a control freak so I don't like that whole "your sims will make life decisions without your permission" deal. It'd be fine if there was some kind of option to turn that on and off, but I wouldn't love to see the disasters they bring upon themselves.

oh, i know. i had to do this once and my sims are 100% CC. yeah, there is a way. if you don't save the game AT ALL while your sims are de-customified, once you put your CC back, it will be exactly where it was. but if you do save, the defaults will stay even after you put back your downloads folder and you can't get the originals back.

i've heard that if you're having weird problems like this, maybe try playing the game with no hacks. that might help. if it does, add back each hack one at a time until the problem comes back. maybe a few are conflicting with each other, or one is incompatible with your EPs.

Awwwww!!! that's so sweet that you're new to custom content  (sorry, i just remember the first time i freaked out about downloading). In your My Documents folder, you'll find another folder called EA Games, and inside that, one called The Sims 2. If you don't have a folder called Downloads (typed just like i did), make one. Then, you can put your custom content inside it. Make sure you've opened the files with a file extractor first. All files in the Downloads folder should have the extension .package. If you want some good sims custom content sites, look at my delicious here: http://delicious.com/milkiemybaby13of course, there's more stuff out there, and on this site you'll find some great downloads. and it's better if you stay away from the sims exchange. it seems cool at first but then later you'll wish you'd never been there. no, i don't think these are noobish questions  I think i may have heard of this. there is a limit of (i'm pretty sure) 10 beings in each family. up to 6 can be pets, and up to 8 can be humans, but you can't have 6 pets and 8 humans in the same house. so, it would work to have a max number of... 1 human & 6 pets 2 humans & 6 pets 3 humans & 6 pets 4 humans & 6 pets 5 humans & 5 pets 6 humans & 4 pets 7 humans & 3 pets 8 humans & 2 pets So, if you have a lot of pets or a big family, yes, the pet will keep you from having a baby. Sorry, i don't have the insiminator so i'm not familiar with the 2nd problem. hope you can fix your game!! |
