Pescado my furious friend you're preaching to the choir.

3  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Anyone else sick of Materialistic Sims on: July 16, 2009, 02:58:29 pm
angry One thing that has bugged me about all of the Sims games is how materialistic the Sims are. I've been playing a family that is just starting out and doesn't have much, I don't want them to. Yet one of my Sims wants is to buy a refrigerator costing at least 1,000 dollars. Why? Why would food taste better just because you have a more expensive stove or refrigerator? Especially if your Sim is a natural cook. Why would you get more cable channels just because you have a more expensive TV? Why does a Sim always have to get a promotion? I find it kind of insulting that they don't consider being a police officer or lieutenant a good enough job, my boyfriend who's a police officer himself would beg to differ. What's wrong with just being a nurse? Most nurses DO NOT want to be doctors. Sorry that's just one of the things that's ALWAYS bugged me about the Sims and I had to get off my chest.  Evil
4  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: Pop star Michael Jackson dead: report on: June 25, 2009, 05:54:54 pm
Actually TMZ is right, Michael has died. I'm so upset. I remember my oldest sister had the Thiller and off the wall albums. I mean I grew up listing to all of his music. It's so weird that he's dead.
5  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Michael Jackson Dead at 50. on: June 25, 2009, 05:53:15 pm
I just heard on CNN that Michael Jackson is dead at age 50. I cannot believe it, it feels like an end of an era. Would anyone one else like to say a few kinds words about him. The man has just died so please don't start talking about how much you don't like him. No matter what I've always been a fan. He will be truly, truly, truly missed. Rest in peace Michael.
6  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Sims 3 Engery mod? on: June 24, 2009, 10:49:22 pm
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some kind of energy mod for the sims 3 or if anyone is working on one. Since my computer is fairly older one, my ultra speed is ultra slow and I spend most of my time watching my sims sleep all day. Even with the slower decay mod and the equal/higher gains for all beds mod It's still like watching paint dry waiting for my sims to wake up. I'd really love to see an energy hack or a another multi-panting hack like in the sims 2. If someone is already working on this a million thanks in advance.
7  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / EA considers Sims 3 leak as “demo program” on: June 23, 2009, 11:04:52 am
I found this while looking for random Sims 3 crap on the web.

First it was "buggy" and now it was a "demo" If EA digs that whole any bigger they'll end up in Australia.
8  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Sims 3 biggest launch in EA history on: June 16, 2009, 02:56:48 pm
it flopped like Waterworld.

I'm sorry that was so funny. Thanks for making me laugh.
9  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: what would be your first request for the sims3 if custom content is created? on: June 16, 2009, 12:17:12 pm
I'd really like to see eyes and skintones. Also clothes and careers. Basically everything that's in the Sims 2 right now. I think we have an enough houses right now. But things like cars and hairstyles are greatly needed. Anything to make the Sims 3 have more of the Sims 2 feel. Also mods, mods, mods, so that the game is enjoyable. The Sims 3 needs to be modded within an inch of it's life.

12  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: The Dumbest Thing You Said or Did on: June 14, 2009, 04:51:03 pm
My friend had a mounds and an almond joy and said. "Which one do you want?" And I said " I don't know which one has the nuts in it?" Dumbest moment of my life.  huh
13  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Anyone feel like posting random movie quotes on: June 14, 2009, 04:49:12 pm
Marty DiBergi: "This pretentious ponderous collection of religious rock psalms is enough to prompt the question, 'What day did the Lord create Spinal Tap, and couldn't he have rested on that day too?'" -Spinal Tap.
14  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Sims 3 Death on: June 14, 2009, 04:41:54 pm
Kids could always die in the Sims this way, I had a child die the same way in the very first Sims game.
15  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Sims 3 biggest launch in EA history on: June 14, 2009, 04:41:04 pm
I'm one of those players who is VERY unhappy with the Sims 3. I just can't get into until there is some decent CC out there. Part of the fun of the Sims was living a life you can't live, Closet full of clothes, really cute clothes, changing up your hairstyle several times a day. Driving around in expensive cars. It was like the ultimate playing house. It's not just the cc the Sims themselves have a lame feeling to them, They don't really have any new interactions, they all end up looking the same. You can't go into any buldings so even going downtown is pretty boring. The Sims 3 just doesn't feel the same as 1&2. Also story telling has been shot to hell, since EA didn't add much to the game and the outfits hairstyles are hideous it makes it hard to tell a story, especially when your trying to make a certain type of character.  EA should start listening to the fans and actually give us what we want and not what they think we want.
