It kinda breaks the mood..the green border around lots (beach lots especially)
Does anyone know of a fix for this? Except of course using a desert terrain.. I prefer lush...

Ive got quite an easy question...
My game kept crashing for no apparent reason, at 17:13.  Actually it happens at random times during the day to different houses, and sometimes I can play for DAYS without a crash.  The point is it keeps crashing at the same spot in time, on the same day.  

So I saved the game just before a crash (can predict it since its the same time of day) and started testing my downloads to see which one was causing it...
I weeded through my hacks etc, and finally found one folder full of objects...it took hours, but I know that something in there is causing my trouble.  Thing is, I dont know what!  There are like 100 files in there, all objects, tiles and walls.  I don't want to lose any of the cool objects in there, yet I want to get rid of the one file.

Is there a program that can scan folders like that and find an offending object?
Or at least any advise?  

By the way, the folder contains all the necessary files for a house I downloaded from MTS2 - Cyclades (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=217045) by corvidophile2, so it was trustworthy.  Im guessing one file is probably corrupt?

This is a recolour of "The Lone Daisy" painting...(actually 6 in total)...and a 2-tile version recoloured from the "apple-headed-woman" painting.  All EA/base game meshes.  
...AND as with my piano & guitar, I had it on MTS2, Ive decided to upload it here too, since I hardly ever visit there.

Also as with the piano & guitar this will possibly "update" the thumbnail in the catalog, but all your other custom paintings will still be there.
Just download this one file and delete the ones you don't want (if any) individual images included in the zip for your convenience!

Use the DESIGN TOOL and click on the GUITAR ITSELF (not the stand) after its placed in the world to see all the alternate colours.

Its just a recolour (no, thats the way we spell "color" in South Africa) of the EA-made one.  This will possibly "update" the piano thumbnail in the catalog, but fear not, the original and all your other custom recolours will still be there...

The texture was copied from the easel, so they match up now.

I couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere, so I decided to create it myself...This may not be the best looking one around, but it does what I want it to do, so I decided to share it.

It uses the basic t-shirt mesh packaged with the original game, so no custom meshes or EP/SPs required.

Ive played around with it from there and added a black trimmed option, as well as 2 others..yet again, it may not be perfect, but I like it this way!

Is there a program like that?  My game is for PC, but at work I use a MAC, so I can't install my BS on this machine. Im usually too busy to really get going with BS when Im at home, so Id like to give it a go if/when Im bored at work, .

I downloaded the freeware BS version to see if that would do the trick, but I don't know where to put CC files? I created a folder in HOME->EA GAMES->THE SIMS 2 ->DOWNLOADS (as per the "mac help" thread) and dropped some stuff in there, but its not showing up..so Im thinking its probably because its the freeware "preview" version?  

ANy ideas on what I can do? Id like to get going on bettering my sim/CC creation skills...

I've tested this time & again.  
My sims dont get sunburned.  Ever.  They spend whole days outside in summer in their swimsuits, yet they never get burnt.  Ive played the game on no-autonomy, and kept them outside the WHOLE OF SUMMER using boolprop to take care of their needs, and its just not happening.  

Freezing is a breeze, but how can I get them burnt?  Is there maybe a hack to increase the odds?

I don't mean to be the village idiot here, posting about SimPe, but I need some help!
I used to be able to work with SimPE just fine, but yesterday after about 2 weeks when I opened it up I couldn't see any of the sims in my 'hood...  I used the up-to-pets version without hassles for quite some time, and then it just stopped working!  You get to open the neighborhoods just fine, just not view the citizens.  

So then I un-installed that version and tried the seasons compatible version, but Im getting the same thing.  I didn't download any new hacks I know of, so Im stumped.  

The last time I used it I was creating a "clean" neighborhood (no default townies etc - just my own, I used SPE to rename them all without problems) And after that it still worked...its just now all of a sudden...

Has this happened to anyone else here, or does anyone have some advice?

My version of Lara Croft's base outfit for Legend!  Lara not included by the way.  If anyone wants her maybe Ill upload, but for now its just the outfit.

This was created purely with game content and uses a Maxis/Ea made mesh.  

Then the catches:
* I assume you need the UNI EP.  The mesh is one of the teen->adult converted outfits that EA did when they made UNI.
* So even if you have UNI installed it still might only show up as a YA outfit.  Im not sure.  Im using a hack that makes YA outfits available for adults.

The file you're downloading contains a '.package' file for your downloads/saved sims folder, as well as some images to help you identify what exactly it is if you like to keep your downloads/saved sims folder categorized like I do.

Even when I've got the juicer stocked to the max with fruit I can't get the option to serve juice!

I know you need 6 times more of the ingredients for the juice, but the option is still missing.  I filled the whole juicer with apples to test this, (and hopefully get juice to homework-doing kids) but its the same thing!
I've barely got any hacks, and no food-related ones either..

As everyone with a Nvidia graphics card probably know by now there are some issues with shaders in the game, resulting in fish-less fishtanks, fish-less ponds and the inablity to see through snow (when mousing over with the cursor)..
(I know the fish are technically there but whats the point if you can't see them?)

Id love to know if there is a graphics update/patch available for our graphics cards that fix this?  At the moment you have to use the "boolprop useshaders true" code..one of my many peeves... using that code slows the game down to an unplayable level...so whats the point??

And by the way: what did EA/Maxis do to "kill" the fish?  It always worked fine, right through Uni & Nightlife.  Im pretty sure OFB or FFS were the first EPs to have this problem.

Is everyone else just living with this, not annoyed by it, or does anyone have some advice/possible fix?

Real memory jogger...but i can still remember my first family from sims 1, there were 2 girls, Phoebe & Caroline Corr, and my first male sim from 1 was Jonathan Ericsson.  Jonathan and Caroline married and had a boy later on called Frank.

Sims 2: James & Caroline (by chance!) Carver...and they had a son called Marcus...they lived in Pleasantview and Marcus grew up to marry Kaylynn Langerak.

Can you play Sims 2 (<- for clarity) without using cheats? This includes cheat objects, and all type-codes.
