Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Is there a way to edit facial structure of an in-game sim w/o resorting to simsurgery
|

I don't have BV. Only have NL and Simpe v.0.58. I have another one with file size 117.000kbs. They seem fine, no glitches or anything. I edited their memories many times over time to avoid jump bug manually, then w FFS Debugger and w Squinge's no memories mods. They look perfectly healthy plus they're by far the best characters I have in terms of exercising free will
This is omen news indeed. I scanned their files w Simpe and Clean Installer and their files look healthy.
If corrupted then how would I know what causes it and/or how to fix it ?

Thanks Hun! Thats how I conduct my sim surgeries so far but this is a different situation.
See this is a heavily played sim w file size close to 96.000kbs. Simpe simply gives error claiming virtual memory is not sufficient. This happened to me with another sim but in that case all I needed to do was change the skintone and I just changed his dom. and rec. skintone values and voila ! skintone changed.
However in this case I need to modify facial features as well. Plus as you might already have experienced certain skintones slightly modifies facial features and in this particular case my sims face needs a little tweaking.
See eye color, hair, skintone can be easily changed but I need to find a way to modify facial structure, i.e. make eyes bigger or wider etc. In sim's Character file, under facial structure there are values but I don't know which one corresponds to what, hence I won't meddle with it.
Also, perhaps there is an alternative way of conducting the surgery. Like if only I can breakdown the operation into phases and deal with each phase at a time. But I don't know the mechanics involved within the process.
Agrrhh I need an alternative method...there must be something I can do ?

Hi there!
I have a heavily played sim dating from original game that I wish to modify his facial structure.
Though I knew that it wont be possible I still tried since his character file is quite bulky (about 95.000kb), sim surgery cannot be completed w success simsurgery but I changed his skintone and eye color manually w no problem (by editing relevant codes in Sim DNA and Charactar data/Age Data). However his facial features require urgent modification (i.e. his eye size is far too small, outer eye corner is shooting the moon...etc).
Now I don't want to ditch him on account of just correcting his eye shape. So here is my question :
Wouldn't it be possible to manually edit facial structure of an in-game sim by copy/pasting relevant facial dstring values (atm I dunno which values correspond to eye shape and size) of another (sim created in CAS based on clone of the sim that needs editing) without resorting to sim surgery?
Since custom skintones tend to alter facial features of existing sims, I have more than a couple of sims that needs tweaking thus I would much appreciate any relevant info.
Cheers,

Can't belıeve I missed this one while searching for enayla's skintones convertedto slimbb...And this is one of my two favorite Enayla skintones too. Found late yet I've been saving an "ancient" (first sim I created when I started playing the original game) one for this. Hurray hurray hurray!!! Ace Work!!!
Thanks a milllion for sharing.
Since I am still a noob I'm gonna ask a mental question: I converted PixieGlow (my other fav) to slimbb but the converted file is close to 8,50 mb (can't remember exactly atm) How do you manage to cutdown the size of the converted file ?
*** Last min edit: I just replaced skintone of my once heavily played sim by manually editing skintone dstring values both in simDNA and of that in Age Data like I've done many times with others before with seamless success but when sim got in the shower, he reverted back to maxis bodyshape.
Plus I dressed him in fullbody nude clothing and neckline did not fit like it should. It looks as is he is wearing a nude turtleneck tracksuit. I can attach snapshots if necessary. Any thoughts?

Yeah I didn't reinstall just yet but I will. Well cos atm I have work piled up and can not spare much time for something of such grandiose scale. As soon as I have time I'll be on it, you'll be the first to know for I will certainly have more dreary questions lined up for you. If nothing then I will most assuredly update you cos you've gone out of your way to help me and it is much appreciated.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Final Cut

Well, I just wanna say that FFS Debugger worked like a charm for the promotion related problems.
Before starting fresh I wanted to try my favorite skin colors and skin shapes in the game to see which one I would use for the new neighborhood. I figured since I will be going through the uninstall/reinstall process I should download all those files that I wanted but hesitated before to see how they work in the game. And in the meantime I decided to give it a shot to ffs debugger and it worked YAY!! Thank you MissDoh once again and again and again. (PS. I sorted all duplicate character and lot files in the DL folder and got rid of them Finally)

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Hot tub that never ends

Caffeinated.joy is right. I used to get that a lot with love tub. Very frustrating. You may consider replacing love tub every now and then (i.e. following 4th use, including visitors/guests independent uses as well). It worked for me, my sims never get stuck in love tub any more.

I just posted a thread in Insimadult pleading for these. Can't believe :tongue10:I found them within 1/2 hrs. THANX SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH.
I was a little bit disappointed when I couldn't find PixieFall and PixieFlirt versions. Please say you will be adding them later. Those are my favourites.
I hope I'm not being too cheeky to ask but since you've done such an amazing job with these, when you have time, energy and will, could you link Enayla's PixieBreeze, PixieFall and PixieFlirt with Warlokk's Classic Pin-up ?? .
I'll be sooo grateful.
Cheers !
