16  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Additional Showerproof Skin Tones for the following... on: September 06, 2009, 05:39:43 am
I just ran a full scale search here on the board and over on the adult board, and couldn't find nary what I was looking for. What I'm looking for are showerproof skin tones for the following Warlokk bodyshapes...

34DDEnh 36/32-40 Hips
34DDNatural 36/32-40 Hips
34DDDEnh 36/32-40 Hips
34DDDNatural 36/32-40 Hips

Preferably in the usual shades, Light, Tan, Dark Tan and Dark. So far I've only been able to find specialized creations, but no dedicated sets. I'm at the point where I might just up and make my own set of skins, but before I labor over Photoshop and Bodyshop for hours to do so, maybe someone can point me in the direction of finding sets for the shapes listed above.
17  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Classic Pin Up Cheerleader Outfit - FOUND on: August 04, 2009, 04:33:26 pm
It could be a conversion of the Maxis outfit or a user created mesh, but if anyone can point me in the direction of one (or more) it'd be greatly appreciated. If it's enabled for Young Adult usage that's be even been. Thanks in advance.
18  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Honeys / Christine Goodchild on: July 15, 2009, 08:01:26 pm
And now, for a Sim near and dear to me. I made Christine last year for use in a story, but she ended up getting knocked up with one of my college Sims. (And ended up having a very beautiful lil one at that.) Since then, I've made Christine look older, seeing as her son Dorsey is now a teen. But I'd been wanting to share Christine for months regardless. Well, I finally managed to get my SimPE working, and extracted her from my game. So into Bodyshop she went, and after 2 days of tweaking, morphing and molding, I give you my Christine Goodchild Redux. This is a "younger" version of Chrissy, and one of the best females I've made in Bodyshop to date. Hopefully you'll have as fun with her in your hoods as I do in mines. Cheesy

Preferred Info-
Zodiac: Gemini
Primary Aspiration: Popularity
Secondary Aspiration (Freetime): Family
Turn Ons: Facial Hair & Charisma
Turn Offs: Unemployed Sims

________________________________________

As always, many thanks to the LEGENDARY Warlokk for his Classic Pin-Up bodyshape, as well as all the other awesome creators who made Christine's creation possible. Happy simming, people. Cheesy

19  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Simon Dansby on: July 12, 2009, 03:02:12 am
A little something different from my norm, a MAXIS default sized sim. Yes, I do make them. Tongue Simon is a sim I made specially for a friend who said she wanted a suave, sophisticated blond pretty-boy to wow, woo and woo-hoo the ladies in her hood to no end, and possibly ruin a few marriages. But I figured why not share with the rest of the class? Cheesy Here's some info on him, but feel free to make him whatever kind of sim you like on your game:

Zodiac: Gemini
Preferred Aspiration: Romance (He's a lover, not a fighter)
Secondary Aspiration: Popularity (Always the life of the party)
Turn Ons: Make-Up, Fitness
Turn Off: Smelliness

a special shout out Acqu for his wicked fashions and textures. You can find many more of his awesome outfits HERE. And of course big thanks goes to all the other creators who make it possible for us to make such kick ass creations. Enjoy him, folks...and happy simming.
20  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Sala Mamula on: June 22, 2009, 12:48:26 am
Here I give you my 3rd uploaded sim, Sala Mamula. I like having all sorts of ethnicities in my game, so making Samoan sims was a no brainer. Sala's preferred Aspirations are Popularity and Family, his turn on's are charismatic, athletic girls, and his turn off is well...whatever you want it to be. Tongue

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Props of course go out to all of the creators who give us all the tools to make such awesome Sims. You're free to use Sala in stories and background sims for contests, just credit me for my work and send me a link so I can take a look myself. You can NOT on the other hand upload Sala to The Exchange, T$R or any other forum, nor claim him as your own sim. If you do, you fail in life. Tongue
21  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Sci-Fi Buy/Build Mode items on: June 10, 2009, 03:40:38 am
It doesn't have to be anything specific, it just needs to be Sci-Fi. Any links provided will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: It can be any kind of theme, Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, doesn't matter. Something that I can incorporate into use for a story.
22  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Increasing Virtual Memory For Dummies on: June 05, 2009, 02:52:38 am
Don't say I don't look out for you Sims 3 Players despite the fact that I'm not buying it anytime soon. I've noticed all across the net that people on low to mid ranged rigs are having issues getting the game to run correctly. That comes because of either two things, it's either your GFX Card, or your RAM. But fear not, I'm about to give you a means to get more bang out of your older PC and maybe even be able to get the game to run at a tolerable rate.

Increasing Virtual Memory and created a Non-Dynamic Paging file

What the hell is Virtual Memory you ask? It's the amount of memory your system's partition needs to run properly. Physical Memory is how files and info are stored on you PC, Virtual Memory is how your PC runs programs and processes. Most people haven't touched their Virtual Memory EVER. Well in this day and age where programs are getting bigger and requiring more memory to store info as well as run properly, it's time you got out of the Cave, folks. Tongue I'm going to give you the steps to increase your Virtual Memory as well as create a Non-Dynamic paging file. What's that you ask? Simple. The Paging File is the file on your partition (that's what we tech types call the Hard Drive) that the physical memory uses to allocate the virtual memory. Your paging file grows and shrinks with every process your PC does, be it having more then one tab open on your web browser, opening up Word, or chatting on your IM service of choice. All programs require VM, and the paging file dictates how much of it you PC will use. Dynamic paging files are BAD. Well, not really, they're just not practical if you're a person who runs multiple applications at once or large programs. Me myself, I use such programs as Reason 4.0 and Frooty loop Platinum Studio 12 for my music, Photoshop CS2 for my graphic design, Poser 7 for my 3D rendering and various other programs, and My PC is mid-level at best. But I have my VM set up so that all programs run perfectly, and I can run at least 3 of them at once without to much slow down. (I do experience slow down, but it's tolerable and doesn't effect my work.) So how do you do it? Here's the steps you need, come along kids. Cheesy

Increasing Memory on Windows XP

Strap in, because it's going to be a long ride....

Step 1: Open Control Panel

Step 2: Locate the "System" icon and open it.

Step 3: Find and access the "Advanced" tab. In the box labeled "Performance", click the settings button.

Step 4: In the newly opened window, click the Advanced tab there. (Did I mention this would take a while?) At the bottom you'll see a box labeled "Virtual Memory". That's where we wanna be, so "Change" and let's get to work.

This is going to bring up another window. In this window, it will show a list of all of the partitions running on your system. (The default partition is often "C:") Before you go changing anything, 1st thing's 1st. Creating a Non-Dynamic paging file. What this will do is allocate a set amount of VM the PC will use that will never fluctuate, and thus will run smoother. But before we do that, we have to disable the existing one. You'll see 3 choices...

Custom Size
System Managed Size
No Paging File

The one you want is the 3rd. Click the check circle and hit the "Set" button. When you do this, a warning dialog will pop up you not to disable the paging file. Do it anywayz, that's what we're here for. Next up you hit the OK button. Another dialog will come up saying your system needs to be rebooted for the changes to be made active. Reboot as asked. Almost done, people.

When your PC reboots, it's most likely going to be running like CRAP. That's because it has no paging file, but we're gonna change that. Follow the above steps once again to get back to the Virtual Memory window. Here's where things get technical. In the VM window, choose the partition you want your new paging file to run on. If you have an external partition, you can choose that. Once you decide where you want it, now comes setting up your VM. before we continue, because I don't want anyone to get lost or confused, let me give you the run down on virtual memory on the technical side. The general rule of thumb is that you virtual memory should equal double what your physical memory is. So if your PM is 512MB, your VM should be set to 1024MB (1GB). If your PM is 2GB, the your VM should be 4GB. See how it works? Now you can actually make your VM more then double the size of your PM, but that all depends on how much PM you're willing to give up. (Which is why if you have a large default partition or and external, this becomes a good idea.) Choose the custom size selection, and inside of the type boxes, input the memory you want set in MBs. So that you know before hand...

1024MB = 1GB

So if you have 2GB of RAM, that's 2048MB total of physical memory. So multiply that by 2, and that's what your virtual memory should be. (4096MB if you don't wanna do the math, lazy-bones.)  So 4096MB should be put in BOTH type boxes. This creates a Non-Dynamic paging file. The initial size of it will be HUGE, and it will never exceed that size. So it should look something like this...

Initial size (MB): 4096
Maximum size(MB): 4096

Now go and hit the set button, then click OK. It'll ask you to reboot again to apply the changes. Reboot again with confidence that you have now increased your virtual memory and created a Non-Dynamic paging file. You should notice your PC runs a lil' smoother when running massive applications or programs. Results will vary depending on your rig's specs, but you will see improvement in performance.
-------------------------------------------
It's a lil' different for you Vista people out there. But you can find step by step instructions on how to do the same thing above HERE.
-------------------------------------------

Hopefully this tut will help a few people out who are having trouble getting the game to run on their rigs. If a mod could be so diligent to sticky this, it'd be greatly appreciated. And happy simming...dummies. Tongue

Vv--Click Here--vV

This song is kinda sorta new. It's a reprise to one of the 1st tracks I ever composed WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in 1999. (Yes, I've been making music for a while now.) I managed to find the old sound samples I used for the original on a FLOPPY disk while clean out some old crates. So I ripped the samples, remastered them, imported them to Reason 4.0 and got to work. The end result is a song that's 10 times better then the original was. It's a gritty, eerie, moody dance track that starts off with deep, scary strings, then explodes into a full on assault of sound. This would definitely be a peak hour track in any night club. Listen, enjoy, and rate high. Cheesy
24  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Honeys / Shyla McEllroy on: June 01, 2009, 02:58:53 am
If curves could kill, Shyla would be wanted in all 50 states. One of my bodyshop built sims for a contest who has since been making pretty damn good in my hood. (Rhymes FTW Tongue) Her preferred attractions are charisma and guys who can cook, and her turn off is guys with no job. (She's a little high maintenance, so her guys need to have some kinda cash flow.) In my game her aspirations are wealth and family, which is an interesting mix if I must say so.

What's allowed:
- Using Shyla in stories, background pics for contests and "Breeding" (LOL!!!)
- Using potential off-spring for contests (Where applicable, and I'd love to see pics. Cheesy)

What's not allowed:
-Using Shyla herself in conests
-Claiming her as your own creation

Credit as always to the legendary Warlokk for the fantabulous Classic Pin-UP Bodyshape, as well as to all the other creators who made Shyla's creation possible.
25  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / So I've sampled the actually LEGAL game... on: May 30, 2009, 10:57:13 am
By way of a friend of mines who's a manager at Gamestop. They received their shipment of the game yesterday, but aren't permitted to sell it until the release date of June 2nd. But that didn't stop him from taking his copy that he had reserved home with him. So he calls me over to his place to check it out, and after about 2 hours on it...I turned it off and went to play me some Left 4 Dead. Needless to say after hands on with the game, I'm not impressed nor amused. Granted, there are some positives about the game. The landscaping and scenery are visually stunning, especially if you have a high end machine. (As he does.) SOME of the gameplay elements are actually well thought out, such as the moodlets. But that's about where my praise for the game ends. The CAS mode is a total nightmare. The sliders work nothing like TS2, and it is virtually impossible to come up with an anatomically accurate face. You can forget about ever having a self sim on The Sims 3, not unless your face looks like the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. I sat there for a good hour trying to tweak the sliders to the most minute detail, but couldn't come up with anything that even remotely looked like me. (God I wish I would have taken pictures.) Add to that the texturing of the plastic...I mean skin looking down right dreadful, and I simply put can't see myself ever getting into the game. The game is called THE SIMS 3. You'd think they would have put more detail into them and not the neighborhood. And the neighborhood is a farce in and of itself as well. All of the beautiful buildings you see? All PRE-RENDERED buildings that have nothing remotely close to the structuring of the actual lots. And then let's not even go into not being able to see your sim inside of some them, or all of the recycled objects AND interactions from TS2. Oi-FRAKKIN'-vey...

Speaking solely for myself, I'm not liking the game. It offers very little in the vein of new innovations, and what little bits of new things that are good about it get overshadowed by all that makes the game fail by comparison to TS2 like and ant would be by the Empire State Building at high noon. (That's a frakkin' big shadow.) For the casual player, or the person who just wants to try it out for kicks, you'll get a few hours fun out of it. But if you're like me, and don't like to settle for a little White Castle slider when you've been eatin' steak dinners the last few years, do yourself a favor and keep eating your steak. (The steak being TS2.) Because TS3 is just an appetizer, and not a very good one at that. If you want one big neighborhood, moodlets, a color wheel and a few other niceties the game has to offer, by all means...have fun. But if you want a robust experience where you can let loose your creative best (or worse.) stick with The Sims 2. In my own personal, objective opinion, TS3 offers very little to keep me entertained. And that's the whole point of a game right? To keep the user entertained. And that's just after 2 hours of hands on with it. By NO MEANS AM I SAYING IT'S A HORRIBLE GAME. It just ain't The Sims 2. Maybe down the road, a few years from now when there are EPs on the market and HEFTY improvements to the game by and by, I'll give it a 2nd look, but for right now in my opinion, The Sims 3 isn't worth my money.
26  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Dylan Bates on: May 14, 2009, 04:25:55 pm
Say hello to your neighborhood's newest badboy, Dylan Bates. Dylan's a sim that I created just for the hell of it a few days ago. I wanted a to make a real badass, and an hour later Dylan was the end result. His skin is another work of mines using the Huge BB V.2 skin, and of course credit goes to all of the CC makers who's work was used to make him.

A lil' about Dylan. He's a bit rough around the edges. The guy your mother warned you about and your father hates to see pull in the driveway. Dylan's a gym rat, a speed freak and a bar fight waiting to happen, all in one studly package. His preferred turn ons are make-up and charisma, and his turn off is fatness. (Shallow bastard, ain't he?) His primary aspiration should be popularity, and his secondary should be wealth to get the most out of him as I do on my game, but you can make him a nice guy if you want, alternate realities work like that sometimes. Tongue

What you can do with Dylan:
- Include him in background shots for contests.
- Breed with as many females in your hood as possible. (Encouraged and heavily applauded) Tongue
- Use his impending off spring in contests. (And I'd like to see pics)

What you can't do with Dylan:
- Claim him as your own sim.
- Use him in contests.
- Use him in stories (I will be once I get a few more necessary objects)
- Upload him or any offspring to The Exchange, TSR or anywhere else.
27  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Fighting Pose Boxes on: May 14, 2009, 03:38:01 pm
I'm in search of a (or a few) pose boxes that have some form of fighting poses or animations. Preferably Martial Arts looking stuff, but I'm not at all choosy. Anything that can be used for a story I'm brainstorming that involves some Kung Fu Grip. I've already stocked up on well over 20 Pose Boxes, but must are fashion type poses, nothing fighting oriented. I'm expecting little help as through my searching I've turned up little results, but any help given will be greatly appreciated as usual.
28  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Top 10 Reasons I hate General Fitness Gyms on: May 11, 2009, 05:12:37 pm
10.) That many elliptical machines and treadmills in one place is only a good idea if the entire squad of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders train at the gym in nothing but spandex and sports bras.

9.) If it took you five years to gain five pounds of muscle and you think that is an accomplishment, I am sure there is work for you in our US Congress.

8.) 14" is only big when discussing Smurfs, penile length or cesarean scars.

7.) No, I don't care that you can do neck bridges for 15 minutes straight. You still can't balance the bar on a bench press and I need that space for corner T-Bar Rows.

6.) Gee, you trained twice a week last week. Congrats.

5.) You are the only reason there is now a Starbucks where my squat rack used to be.

4.) Functional at what?

3.) One of us has a greater chance of being mugged by a group of slender high school kids...and it ain't me.

2.) Baby carrots?

1.) I was once just like you...but the fifth grade was only two semesters long.
29  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Graphics Card Suggestions on: May 10, 2009, 01:54:32 pm
I've now reached the point where my now 2 year old Radeon Graphics Card ain't cuttin' the mustard with all of the new stuff I have on my PC. (Namely Poser 7, a 3D rendering software I use for my graphic designs.) So my question is what kind of GFX Cards do you guys have, or would recommend? I'm looking specifically for something low-end, anywhere between I'll say $80-$130. It doesn't have to be MONGO, just functional. Something that's PCI Express that supports Pixel Shader 2.0. If anyone has info I'll be greatly appreciative.
30  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / 70 Muzik NYC Presents: Night Vision on: May 02, 2009, 08:14:17 pm
As well as being a relatively cool and kick ass guy, I'm also an aspiring musician. I've been composing music since 1998, with the last two years being the years I've really pushed getting my music out to the masses. I have a small internet following, nothing much, but there are quite a few people out there who like my sound. So I give to your listening ear my 1st new track of 2009. It's been almost 6 months since I last worked on a song...life hasn't afforded me much time to. But last night inspiration hit me like a truck and I churned out 3 songs. This is 1st complete one, the other two need to be cleaned up some more. Listen, enjoy and RATE HIGH!!! Cheesy
