61  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / New Stuff Pack pre-order for 4/8/08 on: January 15, 2008, 02:10:48 am
Well, I understand there will be more toddler interactions and toddler-friendly objects when Free Time is released, anyway. I guess the reason for the lack of baby stuff is because sims don't spend a significant part of their lives being toddlers anyway, and the cribs, potties etc. will just be taking up space in a sim's house once the toddlers have grown up, unless there are sims in the household who breed like rabbits, of course. Wink

Whoa, that never occurred to me! I'll be sure to try that out sometime...thanks Howard!
63  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / New Stuff Pack pre-order for 4/8/08 on: January 14, 2008, 03:05:22 am
Actually, I wouldn't object to having more stuff for the kitchen and bathroom, as I feel this is an area Maxis have largely ignored until now. Well, the only additional stuff for the kitchen and bathroom I remember them giving us is the crappy communal shower and that cook-top stove in University, a massive swag of country-themed kitchen and bathroom objects in Seasons as well as a big-ass grill, and a fancy-looking grill in Celebration Stuff. Oh, and let's not forget some of the stuff in Nightlife either...

So, yeah...I'll be forking out for it, definitely. I've done it for just about everything else they've released, including H&M stuff, which I swore I was never going to buy.

As far as I know, the only way you can do so is by creating the sim in CAS, placing him/her in an existing household and using the Family Tree to 'townify' him/her. Click on the Family Tree, select the "Remove From Household" option, and from there you have the option of converting your sim into a townie, downtownie or NPC.

Three or four billion times, more like! lol

Really, kiddies...either read this thread from the beginning, or read the stickies/FAQs/announcements. Doing so didn't kill anybody the last time I checked.
66  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Sims 2 Kitchen&Bath Stuff Pack! on: January 13, 2008, 04:18:25 am
Well, that's something I wouldn't mind too much, as Maxis haven't exactly created a great deal of stuff for the kitchen or bathroom, when you think about it.

So yeah, I imagine I'll be forking out for this pack after all. I've purchased just about everything else, and I'd like some more objects I can include in uploaded lots without fearing the wrath of creators who strictly forbid their stuff being included in uploaded lots.
67  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / sim 2 new expansion pack on: January 11, 2008, 08:28:57 pm
I read over at S2C that a Medusa/Gorgon-type creature will be EP7's creature life form. As pottery is one of the new activities which will be included in the pack, it makes perfect sense to me.
68  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / makeovers! just for spending time... :D on: January 07, 2008, 02:47:59 am
^Yeah, well Vidcund is a prick, after all. Still, I'd like to see what people have done with him...

Well, I thought I'd try my hand at making him look somewhat decent, anyway. Even with different hair and clothes, he's still the same prick.

69  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / tish85---What happend to this creators posts? on: January 04, 2008, 09:39:32 pm
I have a fair amount of Tish's stuff - she uploaded several cybergoth outfits for adult females, as well as some fantasy-themed stuff. It would appear that she's taken all of her toys and gone home for God knows what reason.

As far as I know, she never did give any real reason why she pulled everything of hers down. At least, I don't remember her being involved in any drama, anyway...
70  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Post about your OFB business here! on: January 04, 2008, 08:40:19 pm
I almost never start businesses anymore, though I guess it's something I should consider doing since I'm getting quite bored with my game. I recall one of my sims opening up a nightclub, which was actually quite successful. Well, nightclubs are infinitely easier to run than restaurants or stores, anyway imho.
71  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Artist Career Reward Camera problem on: January 03, 2008, 10:31:41 pm
Oh, when you take the pics the images themselves materialize on the side of the camera lens. You have to enter buy/build mode to select them and place them on walls and/or surfaces.
72  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / A question... on: December 30, 2007, 11:02:51 am
You're not alone. I did read somewhere that the site was relocating to a different server after Christmas, so that could be the reason nobody can access it right now.

You've managed to turn the most boring sims neighborhood into something exciting and great!  Amazing work, keep it up!!  I subscribed to your channel.

Oh yeah, I can imagine Strangetown being boring, only because there are no braindead soap-opera storylines. Riiiight...

Actually, it's my favourite Maxis hood, since it houses the most memorable characters and has quite a few offbeat stories attached to it, more so than any other Maxis hood. (Last time I played a game in Pleasantview I ended up killing at least half the population off. Yes, I think a great deal of its inhabitants are that dull.)

Anyhoo, back on topic - you've done a stellar job on those videos, Joe. It did break my heart seeing Ripp Grunt being pummelled by Buzz, though...Sad
74  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / How many Downloads?? on: December 29, 2007, 01:16:25 am
5.08GB, 24,117 files and 479 subfolders at present. However, much of these subfolders I have are completely unnecessary, as they just contain a few clothing files. Sometimes it irks me when people place their stuff into folders before zipping them into a RAR file and uploading them, as it just creates one more subfolder which I don't need.

I'm planning to ditch some stuff soon, mainly xmas decorations and advent calendar items.
75  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What's your TS2 New Year's Resolutions? on: December 29, 2007, 01:11:12 am
1. Create, create, create.
2. Make serious attempts at meshing.
3. Create at least one story thread (probably not on this forum though, as it's practically impossible for me to keep within the PG13 constraints of this forum. LOL!)
4. Attempt more challenges...
