1  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Apt. Icons missing in Neighborhood Mode on: September 07, 2008, 05:00:50 pm
Ok, I have removed all my hacks, including the insimenator, and I still have no Apt. building icons hovering in the air in Neighborhood View. All I have now in my Downloads folder is CC stuff/Eaxis Stuff for clothes, etc. I ran the game on another Windows account, no downloads in place, and I get the icons where they should be. Anyone else having this problem, and perhaps figured out what is making the icons go PFFFT?
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Prima Games hinting at another EP? on: March 05, 2008, 12:36:00 am
From Sim Wardrobe comes this tidbit from the Prima Games forums, that the FT EP may not be the last. Paladin even swiped a ss of the comment, which I saved an uploaded here. Hmmm, well, we do have the K/B SP coming out in what, April? And EA does have several more months to bleed Sims 2 before Sims 3 arrives.
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / "Surprise" action bug in Freetime? on: March 02, 2008, 09:40:14 pm
Seems like they do the "ahh!" reaction to everything: age transition, seeing another sim. Am I the only one seeing this bug?
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Second BV Patch being found elsewhere only? on: February 13, 2008, 06:21:30 pm
Per the latest news from Snooty Sims; looks like GamersHel has the second update, and it's not on the USA Sims 2 site yet. Hmmmm, trustworthy, ya think?l And I mean GamersHell;I trust Snooty, lol.
5  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Temple Dining: Where your sims can dine with the ancient gods! on: January 16, 2008, 06:35:33 am
Here ya go, to compliment my Simtec Temple residential lot I uploaded here awhile back, now your sims can go dine in a temple. With hidden flame/flash pots, lights, and a hidden flat roof, your sims can dine with the feeling that they're inside an ancient forboding temple. I've included SS with the download so you can view the pics better.BTW, I have Base thru Teen Style Stuff installed,so, if you have as far as Bon Voyage installed, you're good to go.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Vista EMachine & Sims 2: Should I wait? on: November 01, 2007, 12:25:50 am
Ok, have been playing Sims 2 on my two XP machines for awhile, with one offering better gameplay as it has an AMD Athlon 64 3200+.Now, my latest desktop, an EMachine T3612 with Vista Home Premium, with a Celeron D 3.46 GHz, and onboard shared memory graphics courtesy of an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950,Up to 224MB Shared Video Memory. Now, should I wait till I get a PCIE16 video card before I go trying to install and play Sims 2, as yes, my 2 XP machines both have Radeon 9200 AGP cards in them, with 128 MB, and my EMachine only takes PCI Express 16 cards, or would the onboard graphics suffice for now?Remember, the Vista video requirements are "heavier" than Sims 2, so that kinda clues me in that it would suffice for now. Anyone have any suggestions..........beos.........kathy........?
7  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Need to get pampered while on vacation? (BV Req'd) on: September 25, 2007, 02:39:28 pm
Then roll on over to Sabbatical Salon. Buy new threads, get a makeover, a massage, ease your sim's woes away in the sauna's or heated springs. This lot has items from H&M Stuff, btw, so keep that in mind. Use the Clean Installer on this lot to nullify the %$%^$^% phone hack I can't find nor delete altogether myself, lol.
8  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Cramped for space? Use the Mintel then...... (BV req'd) on: September 25, 2007, 02:35:06 pm
Mintel, short for Mini Hotel. Built on the smallest lot available, with six rooms to choose from.I left the lobby pretty much uncluttered on purpose for those that wanted to add any food items, etc. It's tiny, but it helps. As always, with my lots for now, use the Clean Installer, as I can't seem to get rid of/find the phone line controller hack that's in my lots, lol.

Edit: corrected file with version without the phone line controller
9  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / Grim grinning ghosts.....come out to socialize! (BV req'd) on: September 25, 2007, 02:27:53 pm
Inspired by Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, I created this southern mansion inspired hotel/inn. It has the following for your vacationing sims:

1) Twelve rooms to choose from, with couples, families, and roomies types in the mix.
2) Outdoor bbq area, massage area, expresso area, swingset, pond, graveyard, pool, sauna, heated springs.
3) In the lobby, we have guest bathrooms w/ showers for after your soak, a nice restaurant, and a wide social room.
4) Each of the other floors has a community bathroom, btw.
5) While it may not have 999 ghosts......there are several here. Some of my own creation, and a few townies as well.

So...........welcome, foolish mortals............to the Haunted Casper Inn...MUWHAHAHAHAH!

Note: Use the Clean Installer, as there is a $%$$$% phone line controller hack I can't seem to get rid of,lol.
10  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Simtec Temple: For your sims who love ancient ruins.... on: September 14, 2007, 04:35:28 am
Here's a nice home, built inside a temple pyramid, replete with a water spewing idol on top. Overall, it's a one bedroom residence, costing about $121,000.Yes, it has a flat wodden roof located under the idol, btw. So no bad weather getting in. Out back, you have two staircases leading up to a "hidden" patio behind the statue. I haven't seen any homes like this YET, though I could be wrong and someone submitted something like this somewhere else. So, I hope you all enjoy this ancient tropical themed home.

13  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Community / ARR! Check your booty into Barnacle Bilgerat Inn! on: September 07, 2007, 07:17:03 pm

For leisure, check out the pirate ship out back, practice your breasttroke in the pool, melt away stress in the sauna or heated springs, or just catch some rays. Arr, so get your crew inta here, mates, sos you can stay while you pillage the locals.........ARRRRR!

14  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Residential / Payne in the Glass 1-White on: May 18, 2007, 05:20:45 pm
Starting a new series of lots for my game,  so here's the first in the Payne In The Glass Residential series. Perfect for your PlantSims, your normal sims who want to feel closer to the great outdoors, or if you want to get some good pics and vid clips in-game, while you're "in" the house looking out when crappy weather happens. I pulled everything out  as far as furnishing goes, but somehow a phone hack stayed in, and there's no dang phones left in the house!LOL......So, please use the Clean Installer if you don't want this phone hack. I can't recall what all it does, so you're on your own.BTW, found out that if you use wall lights, or the biggest of the ceiling lights, they work better than the rest in this lot.Enjoy.........
15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / PlantSims and "Change Appearnce" bug on: April 19, 2007, 08:41:03 pm
After experiencing the game time "in-game" stopping, and all sims freeze, but I can go into buy and build mode, I tracked down this bug happeneing right after I "change appearance" to a PlantSim. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
