2  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Updating old CC for Seasons/FT on: October 20, 2011, 09:03:59 am
Hi Everyone,

I have a few CC themes that I love, but they are old.

I know you can update pieces like fridges, stoves, bookcases, computers & tvs - but I don't know how.  I'm assuming it is a program.  Does the creator have to do this, or can anyone use a program and update the objects?  Is this easy or really difficult?  I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to CC.  I find what I like, download it and install it.  I'm not very familiar with ModPE or anything, but I can follow tutorials (if they exist).

Also, is there a way to change a bed from sleep/energy from like a 1 or a 2 to something better?  I have really cute beds that I would like my kids to sleep in, but they're all 1's and 2's.  Sad

Thanks for the help!

3  Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / Making Bookcases FT Compatible on: April 20, 2009, 10:32:10 pm
Hi everyone! I'm not sure where I should post my next question, so I thought I'd stick here.  Cheesy

Is there a way to make CC bookcases Free Time compatible?  A tutorial on doing so?

I'd love to learn, and hope it's not too complicated.

Thanks!  Rock

Britt

I've got the deleting bug and I have a question.

If I delete the blank texture of the mesh (highlighted with green box) will it delete the whole mesh, where I will be unable to use the skin to the immediate right?

Thank you! Smiley

I have to reinstall my game because of numerous problems.

Can anyone tell me how many discs are in Open for Business?

I'm thinking 2 but can only find 1 at the moment.

I'm pretty sure I do.  I have Delphy's Download Manager from MTS2 and I've been checking for orphans/abandoned files. Sad

OK, I have everything up to Bon Voyage, except the Teen Style Pack and H&M Pack.

I don't have any mods, got rid of them last week.  I'm thinking it's only a strange coincidence that this started happening after we got the brand new monitor?Huh?  (HP w2207h)

I have CC, but I don't think it would be anything to cause my issues?  Mostly just clothing and furniture.

I'm still having the problem where my sim's body disappears, sometimes the back of their skull disappears, my toddler grew up without a head.  I was hoping it was just a Veronaville problem, but I switched towns the other night and after a while, the same problems happened.

Most of the problems seem to stem from when a video is about to be played (i.e. first Woohoo, having a baby, arriving in a taxi).

Last night my game crashed for no apparent reason.  Today my game is REALLY choppy and slow.  Like seconds pass while the screen is trying to move.

Does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever?  I'm sure I'll probably have to reload the game (OH GOD I DON'T WANT TO!!!!).  I'd really like to avoid this problem in the future!

I have:
Base Game, Uni, Night Life, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons and Bon Voyage.

Fun packs:
Celebrations, Holidays, Glamour Life and Family Fun.

I just ran a system check with Norton and they didn't find anything hinky in my computer.  I'm going to yank all the mods except for the InSim because I know I downloaded the right version for BV.  Could it not be working right because InSim is suppose to work with Teen Stuff and H&M Stuff packs?

I just don't know why it's doing this. Sad

Well, I have a couple Mods.

I have InSim, the new version for BV.
I have Squinge's Wear Anything While Pregnant.
I have the No Autonomous Water Balloon Fight.
And I have the Pizza on a Counter mod.

That's it. Sad

My game has started doing this:

.

Everything will be fine, then all of a sudden spikey things shoot out of my sim, then this weird body shape fills in instead of the clothes.  My baby grew up into a toddler without a head.  A neighbor came to visit and during his visit, his hair disappeared.  All is well when I exit the lot and re-enter a new lot.  But tonight a brand new lot started doing it, too. Sad

I really am at a loss for what could be causing this.  Maybe we need a new video card?

Thanks for your time. :happy8:

Did you try deleting the groups.cache files in the EA Games folder?

That always makes my game work.  Hope it helps! Smiley
