39  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / College question...missing final exam on: January 18, 2007, 02:49:21 am
There ws a bug that caused sims to miss the final. I believe it was fixed in a patch, but if not JM Pescado made a fix for it here. Just select the link that corresponds to the latest expansion pack you have installed and download finalfix from the hacks directory. Smiley
40  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Sim having more than two babies at a time! on: January 18, 2007, 02:23:06 am
I had that happen to me once a long time ago, possibly even before university, though I don't recall exactly. After the 4th baby I was afraid she was never going to stop, but she did stop at 4 mostly because the house had 8 sims then. At that time I didn't even know things like the triplets and quads hack existed and I chalked it up to a game glitch. It never happened again to me.
41  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Mods that have been updated for Pets on: January 16, 2007, 06:59:52 pm
If you don't already have it, download and install the Sims2Pack Clean Installer. Before you install any new expansion packs run the clean installer and make note of any files that are marked in red. These are global mods. All of them will have to be checked in the original places you downloaded them from to make sure they are compatible with the new expansion packs you are installing. You may need to download updated versions of them.

Before installing the new expansion packs move your Downloads folder to the desktop for safe keeping. After you have installed the new expansion packs slowly put the contents of your Downloads folder back in the Sims 2 folder. Clothing, floors, walls, and most cloned/recoloured objects will be fine to put back the way they are.

Hacked objects, generally objects with new interactions, (your "fun" objects Wink) will also need to be checked in the original threads for compatibility. Once you are sure you have the latest and greatest versions of your global mods and hacked objects, you can install them, too. Also, visit www.simwardrobe.com and download the Sims 2 Hack Conflict Utility then install it. It will detect potential conflicts among the global mods and can save you a ton of pain. Good luck Smiley

44  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Vintage Buffet on: January 13, 2007, 11:20:22 pm
Chris, I'm wondering if it's a pets issue. Neither Jay nor I are running pets. Only up to OFB.

Chris, the same thing happened to both JayAngel and myself with the bookcase objects. The game would just crash to the desktop with no error messages at all.
