i have never heard of deep fried twinkies?

They're easy. You can either coat them with pancake batter and plunk them into a hot deep fryer or just plunk them in without the batter. Fry them for about 45 seconds and drain well before eating. Word of caution, though, whenever you use a deep fryer, place the items in the basket BEFORE placing them in the hot oil. Otherwise you can be in for a massive mess!

Hehe.
It makes me laugh with all the deep fried things I find everywhere. Like here, all we deep fry is fish, sausages, chicken, the usual, and once a year we do cheesecake for the yearly show.

How about a deep fried triple bacon cheeseburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as a bun? No, seriously; I saw an ad for it in the paper recently.

I tried deep-fried banana... not too bad, but not as good as I had pictured it.
It was on a restaurant, together with my mom and aunt, who ordered a multi-course dish for the two of them. The dessert was banana with ice cream, and since their version was only enough for the two of them, they ordered a regular portion for me, which turned out to be a double portion of what they got... Needless to say, I was quite stuffed that day.

I'm not much on deep-fried food and fastfood (the eat out kind - microwave food is another thing entirely). In fact, I once went all over a huge mall (which I had never been to before) to find some edible food, after the rest of my family ate at McDonalds... Just the thought of sticky and too salty french fries made my stomach churn.
Finally, after a couple of hours searching or something, I found a place that sold fruit smoothie and really good make-your-own chicken salad (and I was REALLY hungry by then...)

I hate anything deep fried.

Went to the State Fair once a few years ago, and they got dozens of stalls set up selling anything and everything you could imagine that's been deep fried; twinkies, ice cream, cake, burgers, hot dogs, turkey...and...butter, wrapped in a slice of cheese, and deep fried. That actually made me physically ill. The stalls were packed, so I made a beeline to the one unoccupied one, which happened to be selling fresh fruit and veggies. Got myself some corn on the cob, and inched my way past all the heart-attacks-waiting-to-happen. Heh.

Hehe. We don't have things like that here. The worst we got was at this years show was deep fried cheesecake. And I was talking to them about it and they said not many people had gotten any but had walked past talking about how bad it was for them
I love my tiny country town. We're such hicks.
