I got a new computer with windows vista and the sims 2 works perfectly fine except for any custom content that I download.

I download the stuff then put it in the downloads folder but it doesnt show on the game, only in bodyshop.

can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it.

With every installation of a new EP, custom content is disabled. Before playing, the option of enabling and disabling custom content is prompted. Select "enable custom content" and exit the game, restart and you should hopefully see it all. If it is objects, mods and hacks, install the latest version that is compatible with Season for which ever item in particular.
