When you start acting like your Sims
When something in your way you stomp your feet expecting someone to remove it.

When you suddenly start speaking sim lanuage.
Dance like the sims.
When you start to believe you have that skills bar on top of ya head as ya learning something and imaging that it's move up and then disappeared, etc.

if you're starting to wish making the dean's list and graduating were as quick, easy, and cheap as the game in rl.

if you get mad because you don't get a grant for passing grades every semester in rl.

if you get mad because dorms aren't free.

btw: yes, i am a student.

I caught myself wondering at the vet's, in a tiny square-shaped room they have for you  to wait for the pet's examination, whether it was more a 2x2 or a 3x3 in build mode.

Waiting rooms at vets are usually 3x4 squares.
Hospital waiting rooms {2nd level +} are 5x7, with half walls dividing it into two areas.
Ground Level waiting room for hospital is 9x8.

...and I haven't played the sims seriously in over a month.

This was off the waiting room and was a square room.  Trust me.  Tiny too.  Not for the claustrophobic.

Not so much that I don't want to play, as I'm unable to concentrate on playing.

Can't remember if this one's been said already but...

When your hubby (or whoever) asks what you want to have for dinner and "PorkChops (, Lobster Theridor or some other Sim's food)! It looks good." flies out of your mouth before you have a chance to think.

If you start playing the sims at 7pm and the next time you look up from your computer it is 4 am (and you are only looking up to get up for the bathroom) -- this has happened to me more times then I can count.

If you have more things in your sims game then in your house (and spend more money on sims then furniture).
