Has this happened to you?

I sat down today to do some Simming, double clicked my little icon on my desktop and........
Nothing
I could hear my CD drive start to whirl, but the game just did not start.
I have no idea what the problem is.
Sound familiar to anyone?
Any help is always appreciated!

Try deleting any .cache or .cigen files that may be in your Sims 2 Folder. If that doesnt work check the disk for scratches.

I found a cache file called Groups.cache in my folder, and moved it to my desktop. And............
The game started right up. I have no idea what this file does, but my game doesn't seem to be missing it.

Lol np, its happened many times.

Groups.cache, Accessories.cache and cigen.package are all files that can be safely deleted, as the game regenerates clean files when you restart.
