Wow. I missed all the drama. Part of me is glad to have missed it (I took a Sims break for awhile). Thank you to everybody who got THIS version of the site up and running. You guys rock.

With a new site, there will be growing pains. If we're all patient and understanding the mods/admins can get things back to something that feels more 'normal' to the rest of us. I don't envy you guys that job.

Let's all be happy we have an Insim site at all right now? From reading through the crap that brought us here, it sounds like we almost lost it completely. If not for the work of some really awesome people, we might have.

These past few weeks I had been pretty confused what on earth happened to one of my favourite sims2 sites. I had read Walt's first post, and parts of the thread that followed it. When I went back to read more of it a few hours later, I couldn't connect to insim anymore.  Until yesterday, I had no idea what was going on. I feared that Walt may have disliked the critiques so much that he pulled the plug on the entire site.

Then I found this site, and learned what had happened...

I'm SO happy to have this site back! A HUGE  to all those who made it possible that this site came out of that horrible situation relatively unharmed. I'm thrilled that these amazing people were able & willing to rescue the site!

Another lurker has finally found his way back.
I was soooooo distressed a few weeks back to see InSim implode the way it did.  I have enjoyed for several years the creative collaborations of this community.  Even when I did not care for the style, just to watch the interplay as one would come up with a new mesh and then several others would adapt that into a project.
Well done.

As to the 4chan drama, although I am a old man, I love observing these interactions.  It reminds me of when I was a middle school teacher.  The growth potential of teens is worth all the drama.
