I think you may have cause to bring a suit for negligence against the school. Sounds worth pursuing because sunstroke can lead to all sorts of bodily changes years down the road. Personal experience. I've suffered from it about four times, due to working outside without adequate measures to guard against it. The follies of being young and stupid. BUT, I would also bring a bottle of my own should the same circumstances come into play again.

Sage words, always bring your own. I do, but then, being as pale as I am (shine a flashlight on me in a dark room and you won't need any additional illumination lol) I totally skip the tan stage and go straight to burn.

I normally do, but we forgot and I was too shy to ask one of the other kids.

I go straight to burn as well. I tend to tan about four days after and it only lasts for about a day or two.

Growing up in FL can be painful for red-heads. I was always so jealous of the girls with their tans

I moved to Seattle area and don't have to worry much about over-exposure to sun.

All the rest of the family stayed in FL and have had to constantly fight skin cancer. My dad lost his bottom lip but thanks to plastic surgery he looked great. Mom never had a prob with sun-burn with her Native American heritage. I had forgotten that.

My family's part-Native American and I'm the only one who ended up with fair skin lol

I get fried in the sun within minutes of exposure while the rest of my family's putting on tanning oil and enjoying the sun

My family is a mix of Australian, English and German.
And both me and my mum are natural red-heads so we burn really easy.
Funnily enough, we both dye our hair dark brown or black.

I usually burn after being in the sun two days in a row. After that, I'm fine. Now I've gotten a nice tan on my arms, legs, and everything from the neck up. It's mostly because of marching band, and because I live in southeast Texas.

I never get sunTAN. Only sunBURN. That's maybe because of my excessively pale skin.

I don't even have the patience to get either a suntan or sunburn. Sunburn only happens if I'm outside with bare arms long enough. I can't remember if I ever had a tan, cause I do other things in the summer than lying down, doing nothing...

I'm a spring person. T-shirt and jeans, about 20-25 C, and I'm happy. Winter is too cold, summer (often) too hot - I often stay indoors if it get much part 25 C, and autumn is too rainy...

When I was young, I would burn at the beginning of summer and turn a dark, dark brown that lasted until spring. Then I had heat stroke the first time and haven't been able to ever achieve that shade again, which is good due to the thing that too much sun exposure can be dangerous. Nowadays, I prefer the colder temps. I HATE these overly hot summers. The world no longer has four seasons, it has two. Winter and Summer are the only two seasons left on this poor old Earth and we've only ourselves to blame...

I don't really think this global warming is humans' fault. The climate always changes, so I think it's kinda natural. Also, in my country, they began to talk about global cooling lately. So yeah

Global warming can and does happen on it's own, but we have accelerated the process, so yes, we are at fault.

Maybe it's another Ice Age. Sure feels that way every time i poke my nose out the door...

In Geology, I've learned that most of it has little to do with us. For example, every time a volcano erupts, it heats up the atmosphere. It's so confusing , isn't it? All the different parts of global warming. I used to think it was mostly humans' fault but after taking geology which studies that, it's wow maybe we do have very little do with it.
