I try really hard to respect staff's wishes and I think I am about to ask a really dumb question about zombies. Why is resurrecting old threads bad *gasps*? Does it have something to do with space on site or money?

Truthfully, necromancy has brought stuff to my attention that I was glad to find.

Because, when all is said and done, quality is better than quantity. At times someone will register and spam a thousand threads with nothing of value just to get their post count up. This can end up overshadowing a very relevant thread deserving attention (and which won't get it because post happy necromancer has risen the dead twenty times.
